Rocket Man was Elton John. You, of all people, should know that.

Immigrants are immigrants. People are people. Some are good and some are bad. Some we need and some we don't. With 2.4 million Brits residing on the dole, we have more than enough potential pickers, packers, waitresses and cleaners. Of course it's admirable that these people come here to work and contribute, but what sort of government perpetuates the benefit lifestyle for millions of indigenous folk? Get the feckless out to work, I say, and if we still need more workers after that, then by all means let them in. The welfare budget would save billions per year, meaning that a half-decent government could invest in our already overburdened services. But the Tories wouldn't spend the money on the plebs, and Labour would never have the bollocks to implement such a 'radical idea in the first instance.

Successive governments have failed to support immigrants. Politicians slap each other on the back and congratulate themselves for their selflessness, yet they offer no residual support for the immigrants, the community and local services. Look at the Somali community: high unemployment and low aspiration due to persistent neglect. The same will happen with the Syrians who come here, especially those who aren't placed in small towns and on Scottish islands; they'll be dumped on council estates and forgotten about. No champagne and petit mignon for them, I'm afraid.

The Labour governments under Blair and Brown and the EU are one and the same. They are guilty of creating this mess, yet they have no answers for tackling it. Nice cushy jobs set up for themselves while we all crawl about like woodlice under a stone. It stinks.

Personally, I'd reduce the burden on this country by liquidating nonces, rapists, murderers, animal abusers, burglars, muggers, pimps, sex pests (no offence intended, Grove) and many other ****s who don't deserve to enjoy our country. Indigenous or foreign? Both.

Once the numbers stabilise, we can offer solace and sanctuary to those who need it most. Until then, it's free-for-all leading to dangerous civil unrest.

I'd rather live next to 100 Syrians than 1 Welshman.

Hard to blame Blair/Brown/EU for immigration from outside Europe and those coming here from Poland/Romania/Spain etc are perfectly and legally entitled to do so in the same way that UK citizens can go and wash cars in Warsaw, sell roses by the side of the road in Bucharest and serve expensive coffee in Madrid.

The refugees and asylum seekers will not stop coming here regardless of the referendum result. If we draw the line and say NO to unwanted immigrants then we will either have to let them live and beg on the streets or round them up and ship them back to where they come from.

"I don't like you and don't want you in my country. I am going to round you all up and get rid of you" The Convention on Human Rights was brought in to stop exactly this from ever happening again.

Even if we do vote Brexit we'll have to make some sort of deal with the EU which will likely result in us having to accept people from the EU so it's a complete ****ing nonsense anyway.

If we don't make such a deal we may as well declare ourselves bankrupt.

Agreed. Seems everyone in the world thinks we are utter tools for even considering this. I just hope that the Yanks don't mind us thinking the same of them when they elect Trump as President.
