I liked Altidore when he was here, he had everything but the ability to stick the ball in the net. Terrorised defenders, always causing problems and getting in to great positions. I thought his goal rampage in Holland would give him a new found confidence to slot in the last piece of the puzzle, but he was a total blundering donkey at Sunderland.
Josh Tymon already has two years to run on his scholarship deal, but as he's now turned 17, he's being offered a full pro contract. Josh Tymon in talks to extend Hull City stay http://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/josh...tory-29410314-detail/story.html#ixzz4BoySRKtY
The club are relaxed about talks!!!!!! That should only be the case if Tymon has already said he wants to stay subject to salary, length of contract etc. If not he's a great prospect who could join better acadamies and earn a lot more elsewhere. Fingers crossed it all works out, but if I was his agent I would be turning the thumb screws!
Norwich have slapped a £12m price tag on Robbie Brady..........lol If, and i say if, City wanted the option to bring him back in the event of Norwich being relegated, and ourselves promoted, surely any director would have written that option into the selling contract with a buy back clause, and fee fixed 12 months ago? Then again it's Ehab isn't it!
Good point, but some clubs routinely do it. Real Madrid are a good example. They sign, sell and then re-sign the same players using buyback clauses.
Very different context for that sort of deal though. We were relegated and tried to get top dollar. You wouldn't also be able to insert a buy-back clause on top of that unless you were happy to get slightly less in the initial deal.
The market value of a player isn't really based on how good a player is (tho obviously this influences it), it's based on how important a player is to their club and what financial position that club is in. Abel is currently our only proven striker, is still young and we are due to make over 120m in turnover next year, as a result of this (even discounting form) it would take a hell of a bid for us to want to sell. If we'd not gone up, and were looking at a championship turnover next year, his market value would be much much lower than it is now.
There might be some good news whilst we're eating for great news, or awful news... Josh Tymon is seemingly in discussion regarding extending his contract if the Hull Daily Fail have some concrete information.
As a FAT 100% yes. Have been impressed with him so far @ the euros. Worth a punt for sure. +++++++++++++ Nothing much happening anyway outside of the top 2 leagues so far. .
