That will probably depend on who the new CEO will be... Not sure there's anyone on the board these days with the McNasty's about them to front up to AN and sack him.

Is £12M a good price for Brady? I think with 2 years left on his contract and especially if it's Hull we can screw a few more quid out of suitors!

    Bah!

Gayle (£8m), Dunk (£7m doubt he would be any more), Gudmundsson (as Ince was not a popular choice- £4/5m max) and Bradders/similar (£4/5m)

£25m is a small price to pay for promotion. Plus we will likely get £12m for Redders and perhaps more for others leaving. We have the money to spend and need to actually go for it for once! We always have the same conversations about "not over spending", "don't do a QPR"... we need to start being bolder if we are to get noticed and make an impact on the leagues. We will forever be "little old Norwich" (which incidentally why we can't attract good players in the prem) if we dont make a statement of intent. We need to make ourselves known and go up in style!

I agree with the first 3 choices, bedford, but Bradders would be a backward step, IMO. At 29 he's past his best and we need to bring the average age of the squad down. At 25, Gayle offers something different to Jerome, but we'd still need another striker. Dunk would be good, but expensive as Brighton will fight to keep him. Gudmundsson, also 25, would be a good buy to replace Redmond and as an Icelandic international (he's in their Euros squad), he could be one who could hold his own in the PL.

Dunk has also been linked with PL clubs.

Boro have signed Espinosa, a Colombian CB, so their continued interest in Bennett is unlikely.

With AN saying that he doesn't think our ageing squad needs major sugery and also the fact that we now have a rudderless ship, I'm already starting to worry about next season. Wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if we struggle next term, I certainly don't think we'll acheive automatic promotion with the ****e playing squad we have at the moment. Play-offs is the best we can hope for in my opinion.

Play offs didn't serve us too badly last time out - it was the hopelessly inadequate transfer activity post play-offs that ultimately cost us and that's an entirely different thing.

I would be well happy getting rid of Redmond and using the money to buy Dunk.

I totally disagree, right now we have a very good playing squad that I believe will challenge for auto promotion. Once the transfer window is done and dusted it could be another story. If Klose leaves i too might sink to your levels of negativity but right now we still have; Brady, Klose, Howson and Jerome and that is a good core. most of the rest are very capable Champ performers, even Whittaker and Bassong, both of whom are certainly not the future but capable for the now.

    Bah!

Totally agree, but I think Dunk will either stay or join a PL side. After last season Brighton will seem as good a bet of promotion and as we are Norwich, I don't imagine we will gazump his wages by much!

    bah!

Is that a sign of sheer disappointment, oh ye of the svelte figure and rippling 'ceps, when you use a small rather than a capital b in 'Bah!'

Yes, can't argue with that KIO, as we really need to use next season to create/develop a younger squad and we have to get some of our ageing players off our books!!!!

Hmm, both Whittaker and Turner are 32 now. Which, if your point is the way forward, makes it even more odd that they've both been retained and offered new deals.
To counter that, Wes is 34 now but still shows glimpses of brilliance to ensure he remains an asset, rather than a liability.

Yes, I feel Wes still does have something to offer, but I would hope to see him more as a sub than in the starting 11
