Excellent and thanks. I read that Rooney was man of the match. Again. In a bizarre way we might look better against the teams that are prepared to have a go at us, as long as the full backs can get forward. Slovakia really have to assume Wales will beat the Russians, which means they have to beat us to be sure of going through, which could be good news.

While it seems daft letting most of the 3rd place teams get to the knock out rounds, it also encourages more teams to go for wins, or if they have a win shut up shop. I don't think Roy will do that, hopefully he knows we don't have the minerals at the back.

    Rooney ran the midfield again.
Walker was superb again and Alli and Lallana showed some nice touches.
I hope Roy continues to play attacking football and you're right, in that we will be more effective against teams coming at us more.

Hodgson can be congratulated for attacking substitutions, but he is entitled to be criticised for the starting line-up. Kane and Sterling should have been dropped after Saturday and I thought Alli was poor in both games. A deserved win though. Walker MOM for me.

I wouldn't be against Wilshire replacing Alli on Monday.

    Of course fair. .
Sledging was from Bale and Ramsey which was just odd.

I don't think I'd be able to stand if I had been drinking wine for that duration Soops. I drank Young's bitter ( abv 3.7% ) and this meant that I was the last man standing out of the ten of us. I feel fine now after having some nosebag. Time to open the Pinot Grigio and watch the highlights. <cheers>

    No more Sterling in France.
He needs to go off, have a decent season and earn his place. Just not up to scratch this tournament.

Does that go for Kane too? He's been equally poor imo.

They both could still play a big part in the tournament, especially Kane with his goal threat, but they should both be left out Monday imo.

Assume it's only Beth and I. Any other taffs? Bit gutted, hoped we'd hang on for the draw in the end.

England to beat Slovakia and Wales to get any positive result from Russia will suit me. 2nd place gives us a chance of the quarters I reckon.

Not bad for a dog and duck team.

All good thanks Tramore, feeling a little bit fluffy around the edges but a few cups of coffee and some breakfast will soon sort that out. :emoticon-0162-coffe

Having read with much enthusisum, the comments from not only Queens Park Rangers fans, but equally, fans from different countries,
it is truly great to see the divide that is not normally present but is equally respecting here on the forum.
If only all fans could hold themselves with such dignity.
    Well done, folks.
