Get Abel the right partner up top and I think he will be very good for us this season. Let's face it, Who thought Vardy would reach the heights he did this last season

Vardy showed signs the season before. He was excellent against United particularly, and his pace, direct running and excellent finishing didn't come from nowhere. His attitude of chasing everything is a big part of his game too. Abel is also an excellent finisher, but the challenhe for him will be actually getting into the positions.

I'd be surprised if he scores more than Long in the Premier League. Certainly if both were playing for us Long would score more.

I thought Long was excellent, but his goal scoring record wasn't the best.

I don't think it was bad for us at all considering he didn't actually play many games for us.

I would like us to go for John Brooks. I mean, I doubt they would sell him to us when they turned down Bayern Munich but I would like us to give that a try. He has said he wants to play in the PL.

I tell you the US youth is looking really good and an improvement over what we have. I would be surprised if someone like Altidore started any world cup games for us (it will be Bobby Wood up top). These German-American players look like a couple levels above what you have seen us produce before. The fact we have a guy who just turned 17 who played in 10 games for Borussia Dortmund at the age of 16 says something.

Got to wonder if another PL team will gamble on Altidore again? Sunderland were gash when he was there and we weren't much better. He's got all the attributes to do it

I dont think he has what it takes its not just his ability (which I think is lacking) he has had a string of hamstring injuries the last few years and is currently out with another hamstring injury. Altidore can put in the easy goals, he does it for the US National Team but someone like Bobby Wood can make something happen. I would take Bobby Wood over Altidore every day of the week.

I wouldn't want Altidore if he came on a free, wanted no wages and offered to come round and make me tea every night.

I wouldn't want Altidore even if he offered to buy the Allams out!

Altidore isnt even the best striker that Toronto has. Sebastian Giovinco is a hell of a lot better than Altidore.

    Aluko being linked with Burnley.

I reckon Dyche is the sort who could resurrect his career.
