I think so too....but the difference between the 2 sides isn't so big that a win is inevitable...we're not playing Scotland
Just watching the news - reporters just driven to the stadium "we drive in just before 8am and saw quite a few Welsh and some English fans out having their first drink of the day". I mean seriously, come 2 o'clock they're not going to be able to see the bloody game. Why bother!?
For goodness sake, get real ! You may not, but to most football fans having a few drinks before the game is part and parcel of the whole experience, just like singing daft songs and chants that have no meaning in real life away from football. Most will have a several beers throughout the morning and then make their way towards the stadium - if they have had half a dozen beers before hand they will certainly be able to see and enjoy the game.
Mate, take it from one who knows, starting on the drink at 8.00am almost never ends well. Also, a load of pissed up British males getting lairy - really not a good look. Not deserving of a teargas attack, but not much of an advert for Britain abroad.
I nearly missed this game....thought it was tonight for some reason (despite the OP) and I only came back by chance. Nice surprise....couldn't take too many hours of anxiety.
Hundreds go abroad every year to magaluf etc from this country and generally make a tit of themselves. We don't need a football tournament.
Before 8am? That's only going to end one way. Look, I like a beer as much as the next man, I just don't understand the mindset of spending however much on tickets and travel, the getting spannered to the point where you don't really watch the game properly.
I once went to Tunisia and I swore that I would never go anywhere cheap and beachy again as you get the wrong crowd. To tell you how bad it was...I hung around with the Germans.
I'm in work in an office next to my senior manager so the radio will be on very quietly. Obviously, it'll be a bit of a give-away when Wales score though as I'll be screaming the place down
Do they not understand at the office? I left a nice gap in the afternoon and they have filled it with an appointment for me. Right. Next time, I will book an appointment myself. With John Doe. Or Mr Gochas Goalas. Or whoever. Re the beer, I am amazed at those at St Marys who buy a season ticket and miss quite a chunk of the match leaving early/returning late and then need to visit the gents during both halves. I like beer, but I like the footy more.
Doesn't have to be. I used to drink a lot at football and thought it was a central part. I gave up booze a year ago and actually enjoy football more now. I follow the game better and take more from the experience.
You haven't lived in the Council areas I have (and still do) then. Beer is all some drink and they can be seen with a beer in their hand while we walk the kids to school in the morning.
