Slacking on the GOT thread guys. Too busy with Miffs threads and a lure of barely dressed females! Episode 8 was average, bit of tactical manoeuvring before the big one next week. I almost fall asleep now when the story goes to arya or Dany!!!
Thought the Arya chase scenes were epic this week! Great to see Clegane back and great idea having him team up with Thoros of Myr (Dennis Pennis) and Dondarrion, 3 great actors
I agree, the scenes were pretty good but I still think the story has lost its way, a bit flat somehow. I am sure there is a plan, but we have had to suffer a bit on the way. I too am interested to see how the hound along with the brothers without banners pans out.
The Arya story arc has gotten pointless and tiresome. It's time for her to get the hell out of there. Besides, how does a person recovering from abdominal stab wounds run jump and roll like that? Funny, but I find the suspension of disbelief easier to stomach for flying dragons and armies of undead than for Arya going Jason Bourne with stab wounds.
Bothered me as well, kept saying to the missus "how is she running and rolling like that after being stabbed in the gut multiple times?"
Who's ready for the Bastard Bowl next week? Or do you call it the Bastard Derby over there? I think the slow pace and build up of the last few episodes is going to explode this weekend. Bring it on!
If a gimp like you doesn't like it, why do you think anyone is interested in your opinion (as you said to SydneyTiger14), why post on a forum if all you want to do is express your right to be a **** - you don't need the practice, so spare us all.
I know what you mean, but I think morbid curiosity kicks in - and a tendency to claim box time from the Mrs; sad, but true.
Kit Harington said the next episode features the biggest battle scences they have ever filmed. He was on This Morning plugging his current play. He is a bit of a luvvie. There is a trailer out.
He's getting stuck into Ygritte in real life isnt he? I do hope every time he asks her a question she replies....
Can't wait, they really push the boat out on things like this. Fingers crossed the bastard of Bolton gets his come-uppance!
