The human make up is strange and great. At least 90% of the shows/movies listed so far are gash. Imooc. Kenny Everet. Red Dwarf. Charle Chaplin. And so on. Utter crap. But its all about choices.
Now this is funny. Mags and dwarfs. Ifications. German ****e. The whole works. http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/spor...-newcastle-dwarfication-championship-11478343
I noticed Bri mentioned Father Ted...This one is very contentious in our house because I love it and our lass hates it..
Never watched Father Ted either, or Vicar of Dibley... Quite a few I have avoided, which it seems are popular. Red Dwarf, that's one I did not avoid, I watched that one, it was diabolical.
I loved Love thy Neighbor, funny as ****. Wouldn't get away with it now like - calling each other nig nogs & honkey's is off limits now. Also enjoyed Alf Garnett & Porridge.
I think most of my favourites have been mentioned; Blackadder, Black Books, Red Dwarf, Green Wing, Thin Blue Line, Mary Whitehouse Experience .. just realised how many involves colours... Alan Partridge, The Day Today, The Thick Of IT, Friday/Saturday Night Armistace, Big Train, Bottom, Morcambe & Wise, Two Ronnies.
I was convinced your humour taste would be dark, or alternative, like your music taste... it seems that's not the case.
The Vicar of Dibley was utter gash and nothing at all like Father Ted which totally took the piss out of the Catholic Church..
I liked the films, daft bunch of idiots, but then they got carried away with it and started making it ridiculous. I didn't watch a lot of Rik's stuff as it happens, not everything he did interested me. If you look through his IMDB I've seen very little of his work, but the stuff I did watch and enjoy I'll watch again and again until I'm Duh.Eh.Duh!
Probably alone here but i used to enjoy Time Gentlemen Please. The pub landlord. Always mocking the aussies.
Steven Fry as General Melchett is the best character on Blackadder goes Forth. Unbelievable to think that he was only in his early 30's whilst playing a character who I would guess would have been mid to late 50's at the youngest.
Its worth watching him do Jackanory for childrens telly in the 80's. There were complaints from parents at the time. Its on Youtube I think!
Thats a bit harsh -mine was only in a thread not a headline - this needs to be moderated out - no more abbreviations from me - laugh out loud ''I'll need to use more annoying & distracting smilies -
