Rising Damp, not the film though it was an embarassing shadow of the TV series, most are, come to think of it, Peter Cooke saved the One foot in the Grave from being the same.

Amos and Andy was black and white, set in New York it was the first TV comedy show I saw on TV, and it was all black and white back then.

Just as an aside I can hardly remember Amos and Andy either so I have just looked it up on Wiki, and its a great read, even ends with a revue of the spin off film which was rated at the time as the worst film ever made, I love tangents me. <laugh>

Modern family is a clever and very funny show which I like but it doesn't make me laugh out loud. One of Peter Kays earliest tours had me crying with laughter but I was probably p!ssed. I genuinely think that some comments on here have made me laugh out loud the most recently.

That's sort of what I was getting at with the thread. I think it's a great place for a laugh, each person views the forum differently.

Harold Lloyd, Charlie Chapman, laurel n hardy, old ones are the best.
Mr Bean and some other simple comedies like dick emery and Benny hill.
Cartoons, Tom n Jerry and the road runner with that daft ****ing coyote.

I love family guy, not a big Simpsons fan but can watch it, I can watch American Dad as well, but that's about it... Hate South Park and Futurama.

The funniest thing I've watched lately is impractical jokers, some of them have me lol'ing.

Aye Modern Family is good stuff although the past two or three series' haven't been as good as it was when it started. It has one of the finest MILFs of all time too:

A similar show I like a lot is Parks and Rec, same looks to camera style and broadly similar humour.

There is one with 4 American blokes where they task each other to do stupid things and the losers have to do a forfeit, can't remember who they are but they ave me creased up.

That's Impractical Jokers mate. It's ****ing hilarious, it's the only thing I laugh at consistently on the tele.

We end up watching this as it's on most nights at some point or the other. The one where one of them married one of the others sister had me in stitches.

Same, I know I said before that I don't genuinely lol at anything on tv but I'd forgotten about Impractical Jokers, it's the one thing that I'll laugh at until I'm crying. I think there's a few knock offs springing up now but it's the banter between the lads that makes it, you can't replicate it.
