Thinking about it, I can't recall ANYONE bleating about being filled in by the soviets in Marseille, although judging by YouTube plenty seem to have been. A lot of the people on the telly who do the loud beery singing in squares seem to be twentysomethings, and not the fat old middle-aged hoolies you seem to despise so much. (Do you have a pot-belly?) I think the latter are thin on the ground these days at England games, and that the people getting beaten senseless with iron bars and telescopic batons etc are random England fans who just have the misfortune to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, often vasty outnumbered and not looking for trouble. From what I see on the telly, the people you think are getting 'schooled' are NOT the ones you hate so much.
