Using logic [that's a laugh, but I'll persist, even though my Russia v Slovakia 2-0 prediction is going down the toilet] we find that Wales beat Slovakia. Slovakia are fairly comfortably beating/will beat Russia. Russia drew with England. Logically therefore, Wales are better than England.

As this tournament is close and mostly competitive [entertainingly so] I wouldn't put it past Wales to beat England, or visa versa, or they draw. The only thing I'm not considering is one side to thrash the other. Which means that scenario will probably happen. ;)

Roy's response when asked the question with regard to Welsh players making the England team...

Seriously, Bale would start every game and Ramsey would almost certainly be in the squad. In fact, I'll acknowledge Bale's superiority. If I were Roy I'd build the team around him. He probably wouldn't. He'd probably still pick Wilshere instead. But that's an England manager for you.

And the question is uninteresting, yet interesting. OK, Roy. ;)

Kane should have started, obviously. But anyone could see that he and Sterling were struggling.

Yes, as England fans we are overly harsh and negative (I do often defend them against criticism), but Russia are terrible and we should have beaten them. Exactly as j was disappointed when saints lost to Norwich/Bournemouth etc.
