Well not everyone.

 

There was a lot of trouble at Poland/Ukraine tournament. Maybe not highlighted so much here as it didn't involve our fans? Not as much as this one though.

 

Russia are hosting a WC as well not a Euros. Would you fancy travelling there to follow an African nation?

 

But I'm sure the Ukrainian authorities were much more on top of it, because they are trying to join the EU, and thus need to make a good impression.

 

Hmm, Russia and Quatar. Not a time to be a gay football fan.

I can remember when a sports embargo was put on South Africa (quite rightly), but no one has suggesting doing that on countries that ill treat half their population and deny them basic freedom and rights. Too much oil, I guess.

 

I think it's more to do with the men in charge being unable to multi task. How can they be expected to reform their laws on women's rights and alcohol whilst counting the money from their investments.

 

Yeah, that echoes my experience with the majority of Russians I've encountered. Not all, but most. (Honourable exception for the editors/writers from the Russian version of Rolling Stone).

 

Lots of England fans got messaged about spare tickets for England vs Wales. Lots got returned after the trouble against Russia. Turned them down as going to the Slovakia game on Monday.

 

Sure, i certainly dont mean to tar all Russians with the same brush, far from it as i know many really good Russian people. My daughter has not long returned from a year in Moscow as part of her Russian degree and she liked it but found it so, so different to our culture. Their macho outlook on life is quite an eyeopener, but its just the way they are and we aint going to change them ! God forbid any football fans that get on the wrong side of the Russian police during the next WC, they certainly havnt signed up to any EU Human Rights laws !!

 

There's a reason that all those lovely Russian women are dying to meet you guys...apart from the money and entering the UK....British men are just better husbands. Communism didn't do much for women as they all had to go out to work and do everything at home....because Russian men are even more useless round the house. Imagine that
