Well we're away both first game and last game - again. Thought it alternated each season, and also first and last games would be one each of home and away. Arsenal always seem to be at home first game. Computer not quite ''random'' after all ?

First glance look, seems to me that for the first time in a while our fixtures are balanced where we don't have a prolonged run of easy games and/or a run of hard games. Happy with that.

Aye. If you're away first game, you should be at home last game. At least let the SAFC fans enjoy one of the occasions.

Last season - we were the only team away first, last and boxing day - guess what - not had a look at anyone else's fixtures but, once again, on the three biggest money spinning days of the season, Sunderland are away again! Does my head in - completely unfair too for the fans

EDIT and I can;t ****ing go to the Boro game!!

    Ediot no. 2

Sunderland, Stoke and Spurs all away those three this time! Totally unfair to us fans IMO but when did the fans ever matter to the Premier League as long as they get their millions from sky

Are you sure, our first five games look tough to me and point to another low total from the first 15, onle Everton at home looks a decent shout to me, hate to say it and hope I am wrong, but we could be in for another bad start here.

Having said that, we sometimes rely on the ''hard'' runs to acquire the necessary survival points !!
Should be a win in the first seven games for a change though

Could have been Man City, Chelsea, Man U, Arsenal.

Good to get one or two toughies out of the way early on, best time to play them.

Apologies lads I missed the Everton game at first glance and thought we had three away games in the first four, I still believe someone does not like us up there, its my conspiracy theory, I will prove it one day and win the Nobel Prize for fair play. <laugh>

Its not an easy one so early in the season imo. as we could well get few points away from home early doors, of course it could have been worse if we had to play them down there in the first few games, but this does not look like a gift start to me.

City away first game, chance to get them cold before they get used to their tappy tappy football and a championship standard team at home first? Fair start for me. I am happy with fixture list.

I think the start is pretty standard. Could have been easier, could have been harder. Maybe about 6.5 out of 10 on the difficulty scale.

And Man City with Pep in charge for the first game, will have them pumped up, that might work in our favour, we will see in due course, there are no easy games of course so we will have to hope for a good start, we are due one.
