Disappointing tonight by his standard. Are we seeing the beginning of the end? I think so, even though he is sure to do some really good things for some time yet. Time for Real to sell?

Real won't sell him cos he brings in hundreds of millions a year in shirt and merchandise sales.

He's definitely in the way down though.

The same can be said of the PSG player with the pony tail who looks like going to Man u abromavic ?. Ronaldo as not performed for about 4 months now and he might wind up here ! I will take a chance.

Didn't he score a ridiculous amount of goals in the season just gone? I didn't expect him to do much tonight, he never does for Portugal. I don't think he has his best games in the big matches.

According to SAF (via Shearer) Ronaldo was/is the most perfectly dedicated professional he has ever handled, but I guess no one can defeat the clock. Another thing to look at is just how much is placed on him and when the quality of player he is used to is not on your team then it is difficult to match expectations. Was not that impressive in the last WC either.

Cristiano Ronaldo: "Iceland only tried to defend... they had two chances and then did not try to score."

"They celebrated like they had won the Euro cup or something. That's a small mentality. That's why they'll do nothing."

    Bitter much? <laugh>

What a knob, why can't the big stars praise the minnows just once.

That's what I don't like about Ronaldo, for all his elegance on the pitch in terms of personality he is completely graceless.

    Or... loosely translated . He's a cock

Annoys the hell out of me. Iceland. A country with a smaller population than Leicester, just got a draw with Portugal (pop. 10.46 million) and Ronaldo expects them to play attacking football. Prick

He's still an awesome footballer though. Never see it in national colours. But for Real he's class.

Maybe he is only as good as the team he plays for.

He's just off the back of a CL winning season scoring 51 in 48 and he's his country's leading scorer of all time. He's only just turned 31 and has the physique of a top athlete, he's nowhere near finished!

He just plays for a poor national team and he's a really bad loser, he expects sports to be competitive.

He's just donated his CL winners fee, all of it, to charity... Meanwhile Messi was in court for tax evasion <ok>

Yeah he's a proper cock like.

I'll accept that he's a bad loser, stroppy as **** and petulant on the pitch, he's also very self-obsessed with his goal to be the best ever, but if he wasn't he wouldn't bring as much to the team.

The only way people can say he's on the way out is due to his age, nothing else, nothing at all backs that up, he's physically in better shape than probably 99% of footballers in the world. He'll play as long as he wants to at the highest level.

Arrogant and bad sportsman from time to time, sure.

All he's done for charity etc. doesn't stop the arrogant prick he acted like after the game last night (ANd I agree with every other point you make) but being a bad loser can make you act like a cock - and that's what he did last night!! (I also still think he's the best player in the world)

Not good enough for Newcastle though (I remember an awful lot of them saying they wouldn't want him there!)

It's just a bit sad how people go out of their way to highlight everything bad he does.

Not a single thread about Messi being a tax evader who has robbed from poor people to make himself richer, or Benzema being part of a blackmailing ring, but as soon as Ronny has a little sulk it's meltdown time. This is the umpteenth time I've seen threads like this on the lad.

**** me some of you lot will be busy next season when Zlatan tips up if you think Ronaldo is arrogant.

    Well i like CR7.

Nowt wrong with a bit of arrogance. Iceland showed them up. Good for them. Ronaldo kopped the hump cos he's a sore loser. He'll get over it.

I think there's a good possibility that he's gay, Ronaldo, or at least bi, so it comes as no surprise when he has a bit of a hissy fit to me.

It's because people don't like him on a personal level that threads like this occur and he brings it on himself. That wink when he got Rooney sent off, refusing to shake the Iceland player's hands, doing **** all in a competition final but still having his shirtless body plastered all over the media thanks to his mastery of attention seeking.

I don't have a problem with arrogance, a lot of the sportspeople I like the most are extremely arrogant. Ibra gets away with it because he does it tongue in cheek, he's a funny guy. With Ronaldo if you care to look for it it's easy to see the **** behind the spray tan.

Messi does appear to be a little weasel, why he felt the need to cheat on his taxes with all that money he makes...dickhead.

It's probably not a spray tan to be fair. <laugh>

Each to their own mate, I appreciate him as a footballer, just like you lot have a loyalty to Quinn, same with me to Ronnie, he's a legend for us and I can forgive him for the drama that comes with him on the pitch, due to what he delivered in a United shirt.

As for him doing **** all in the final, you might wanna think back to the quarter finals, they'd not be in that final if he didn't stick 3 past Wolfsburg when they lost he first leg 2-0. It's not all about performing in every single game... he was entitled to some glory ffs, he scored 16 goals for them on the way to winning it.
