Agreed on the browsing aspect. Yep, for streaming media they are excellent, but if you want to do it all on one screen, I think for all-round performance, a decent connected PC to an HDTV beats everything else simply because of the affordable power. You can do all of it in one box**. I mean the Games, Shopping, TV etc.. Even mundane stuff like MS Office never looked better. And things like Netflix are available on Win10. I do accept it is a solution slightly more favoured by the nerd, though. **OK, two boxes if you count the TV itself. Thinking slightly longer term I hoping that 4K TVs become available non-Smart. The PC I'm currently using would need a slight bit of upgrading, but not much really.
