Just a thought ....Liverpool are demanding 10 million for Allen , a guy with 1 season left in his contract and doesn't play regular for them . NOBODY is going to pay 10 million for Allen under these conditions , why should we . We should just wait the window out and let Liverpool blink . If they hang on to him and he goes on the free next season , what do you think his preferred destination will be ? We hold the cards on Allen , my guess is before the end of August we will get Allen for around 6 million or for nothing next season .
The only problem is this, other teams will be alerted to Allen, and I think we should do some hard ball over the fee, but we need him for the start of the season, Leon has to be replaced now..........

Roof, Joe Allen is invaluable to us. Look at the way he played for Wales. Newcastle paid £12 million for a donkey. You're damned right I'd pay £15 million plus if that's what it took to land Joe. Tell you one thing, play against England like he did Saturday, we won't be able to afford him. We paid £8 million for Palo, Joe is 2 levels above him.
Your train of thought that " Only " Joe Allen can help us for that price is nothing short of a laugh valley .
Come on then Roof, who have you seen in these Euro games so far that is better than Joe or Leon at what they do? We could buy some foreign player who will take 12 months to settle and flop. Joe will slot into the club and side automatically and hit the floor running.

An average striker in your eyes , like Guidolin shouldn't be our manager to some . We will see lefty , we won't pay 10 million , hell ...we may get him for nothing a year from now .
So how many set pieces a game do we have and we were the worst in the leafue at dealing with them, with Fer in the side so a non argument. Allen gives a damn site more in a 90 min game than a few set pieces.
