He lost concentration. Id think thats pivotal in a goalkeeper to keep his mind on the game instead of what will he have for tea tonight.

This! Right infront of us, was almost in slow motion. Bad mistake, but more worryingly he didn't seem to recover from it. Had one good save after that then looked a little shaky for rest of match.

Didn't see you smudger, weren't you row F in FA2?

I think that was Pardew's plan all along though, so that he could get a good look at him. Whereas, Pards already knows where Krul and Harper are at ability wise. Plus fitness isn't massively important as a keeper, so it's not going to hinder Harper's or Krul's performances.

How old is he (23?) and he had an off day and now everybody's on his back, give me a break!<doh>

He had a bad game today, so what, everyone has them, he's come off from 2 very good seasons on loan at Norwich and Celtic. I'm sure he'll learn from the mistakes he made today and improve.

Remember when we were ranting and raving about Krul? and look how shaky he was when he first started and then everybody was saying 'oh, he isn't good enough!' then after a few more starts he finally found his feet and is now looking like the successor to Harper.

No and actually their new keeper, Lonergen made the best save of the match in the second half. We should swap Forster for him...

Actually Krul's first game for us was against Palermo in the UEFA cup and was MOM. An immense individual display, we all knew he had talent, sorry but for me he is miles ahead of Forster in terms of his development, as SuperShola stated, it wasn't just Forster's mistakes but just general lack of presence in the area that was most worrying

I was thinking around last year when he became a regular because of an injury to Harper

I was, seat 40. Meant to come and find you but forgot what seat you said you were in <doh>

Also, isnt Forster meant to be like 6"7 or something? He's no bigger than Krul.

I do but I dont claim they're all good. We have to lose a keeper this summer and my money's on Forster.

I will support him I just agree with the article poster that he is NOT first choice keeper material at the minute. Another successful spell on loan may improve him further and then I may change my mind.

I remember in some of the votes, lots of people wanted to see Forster as number 1.
