That's not actually the case though, is it? It just sounds like a great argument, regardless of the simplicity of it, because it suits your opinion.
A nation's independence and referendum isn't comparable to the Brexit vote in which the the final decision will be decided by the English voters. At least when we voted No, it was done by the population of Scotland for Scotland. Brexit is basically about the English voting for England, and the rest of the home nations having to make do with what is decided. Not only that, but the same fear campaign that decided the Scottish referendum is being used now by the government/Remain camp, but that's not to say the Leave camp aren't spinning their own lies, one of which is the "Brussel's controls us". If you're going to vote Leave or Remain, at least do it on the back of facts, and not the garbage Boris ****ing Johnson and Michael Gove spout.

Unions will always cause disharmony and infighting, yet the 'little man's' concerns are continually disregarded by the power-mongers, who ultimately benefit from such arrangements.
