He currently plays in a league no better than League One, anyone who signs him now will do so as a PR exercise and to sell shirts, Beckham no longer has anything to do with football, he's an exhibition free kick taker.

I can't believe these morons are actually discussing the fact they might actually sign Beckham on £200k a week, utter ****ing nonsense.

Why would he go from LA to a ****hole like Leicester. He doesn't need the money.

Mind you Leicester are stupid enough to pay that much. They have offered 8/9 million for Shane Long.

After living in Leicester for 4 years I'd much prefer pretty much every other city in the country!

I lived there for 8 years until 2 years ago. Thank god I moved back to Yorkshire. Although when I first moved there Leicester was great but now it is really run down and rough.

Hmmm you could get 20 Cameron Stewart's\Robbie Brady's for 200k a week. At this moment in time I know who I would prefer on the wing at Hull ;)

10 years ago would have been a different story....

    20 who on the wing?

We want to become globally famous and everyone has heard of Beckham so why not sign him?

If they owners can afford it why not?

Gallagher is in the exact mould as him and I bet he'll become a much better player because of it.

Our owners are rich, but its their money. They can spend it on any Tom, Dick or Larry for all I care as long as its heloing the team and IMO Beckham will be a massive coup for the team <ok>

Dont worry you'll find out when we play you - I wouldnt want to spoil the surprise.

Success brings fame, you cant buy it...

That's fine until they get board and then it will be the club who are left with the daft wages and stupidly long contracts.

Personally i don't like Leicester, but if you sign him i wouldn't have anything against you for signing him. Personally i watch a bit of the MLS the standard is not great, but Beckham is far and above the standard. He would do a great job, bit of coaching your youngsters and jobs a good 'un. Its not as if your struggling for money, if you have the money like you do you might as well spend it.

However i doubt it will come off, but whats is there to lose by trying though? Nothing.

Although surely anything but first place is now failure for Leicester after all they have spent?

Oh, sorry, I forgot you knew <laugh>

I'm only going on whats being reported and whats been shown with signings and expenditures so far.

We have spent over 10m on players in transfer fees this summer. Spent 1m of a friendly, done up the whole of the stadium, the club shop, the ticket offices, the lot.

Now that seems like they are willing to part with a few bob for the good of the team, don't you old chap?

Mr Vichai said he makes a living from his business and is not reliant on political parties, and that he has kept himself clear from political affairs.

He claimed he was often implicated as a crony of previous governments, an allegation he insisted was unfounded.

When the Council for National Security toppled former premier Thaksin Shinawatra in 2006, the coup engineers listed him as a sympathiser of the administration and his duty-free business concession came under scrutiny.

Outgoing Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva also regards him as an opponent.

Mr Vichai conceded, however, that he and Mr Newin are close friends.

Mr Newin sought his advice on how to run the Buriram FC football team owned by the Chidchob family.

Make of that what you will.

The point is....Beckham would not move to Leicester City. This is even more fabricated than our efforts to bring Negredo and Owen to the KC.
