    I believe JWP had one in his last deal from Nicola era which we got rid of in his most recent extension.

    If VVD does have a release clause in his contract, then I'd be very disappointed in the board if it wasn't for Champions League clubs only.

    Still only 22 years old, always looked good in the U21's England team. £11 million sounds steep, but with the new TV money and English premium added on it isn't too bad. Sounds similar to when we signed Long in a way...

    If we're losing one of Mane/Tadic, I hope we're planning to get more than just Redmond to replace them. He has talent, but he's pretty unreliable at the moment.

    I would think Redmond is adding some good depth to the squad ahead of hopefully a long season. As you said though, if he purely just replaces either of those two players I'll be a tad annoyed.

    Yeah, I don't mind him as a third such player in the squad, and the cost is about what "two legs and a pulse" will go for if buying in England this summer, heh. But it's an element of our squad that was already thin...when Mane/Tadic were off or injured, we were desperately lacking creativity. Redmond alone won't replace that.
