as for the clueless bonzos that moan that hernandez hasnt scored as many as carroll in the league, have a look at the amount of games hernandez has started. most of his appearances have come from the bench.

carroll did well in the championship and has done well in the prem in his first proper season. is that worth 30 mill? **** offf is it.

hernandez has already scored against the likes of spain, france, argentina, netherlands and chelsea and valencia. he does it against big teams on big occasions. he doesnt need to ball pumped up 10 feet in the air to score either.

if carroll is worth 30 mill then hernandez is worth at least 60 mill

How arrogant can Spurs be? He is not for sale at any price. Get it? Also he does not want to move, as in has specifically said he wants to stay and not go to Spurs, Chelsea or anyone. End of.

    Oh dear Jordan <laugh>

Just to add some input - Carroll has scored against Man City, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool this season. Big teams no?

P.S take your red tinted glasses off! Hernandez is not twice the player of Andy Carroll.

I was not criticising Hernandez when I brought him up, I was pointing out that they're both young strikers who are each worth a lot.
As for Carroll needing high balls to score, I guess you haven't seen several of his 20+ yard strikes, or volleys, or the assists from his FEET. Just because he impacts play by winning almost every long ball he challenges, doesn't mean that's all he can do. But you clearly don't watch enough Newcastle matches to have a valued opinion, so I'm done debating this.

No loyalty in football anymore? Why not ask the squad of internationals and player far too good for the league who played for us in the Championship? Or Steve Harper, who waited 17 years to start for the toon

    sour grapes chaps

Medical would be interesting. By all accounts they don't know why his thigh strain hasn't healed. Two options...

    1. It has. They aren't playing him so they can sell him.
    2. It is a very serious injury, he's out for a minimum of another month (that's a minimum mind), and the rest of their season is screwed.

Not good for mags either way

Oh, and there's loads of casinos in London... keep him happy <laugh><laugh>

If I'm honest, I can see Ashley holding out for more and then accepting an offer. Yes, NUFC have said he's not for sale, but that happens all the time, the club say a X player won't be going, then he ends up being sold. Ashley will see Carroll as an asset and if Spurs bid 30million+ Ashley will definitely be tempted.
