I'd like to think that too, but Tommen became the High Sparrows puppet before he was allowed to see her. Wouldn't it be a great twist if the HS and Margery were allies from the very beginning.
Has to really. Last episode is going to be fire sailing to westeros and ice sweeping from North. In many ways the next episode will be made irrelevant by this but it doesn't matter. An epic clash with bolting getting it is what people want. Arya dealt with Cersei.. episode 10 filler. I've lost interest now. Mountain was let down. Hound.. for next year. Lannister.. **** only knows. Blondie battle. Who the **** cares. We know the outcome. She gets ships. Dorm.. really who the **** cares. Winterfell is all anyone really cares about now.
Compared to the other seasons it's been a piss poor season overall and you can tell they've had to stretch the storylines because the fat bastard hasn't finished the books yet. They really need the last 2 episodes to be epic to save the season.
the final 2 episodes of got are feature length no? they will need to be - next weeks looks like a truly epic episode, cant wait, would like to see john get "nasty" for a change, you been killed by your brothers, nearly killed by your wildling lover, ramsey has your home and half brother not to mention terrorising your half sister - cmon john get ****ing angry ffs!!! dont get me started on the aria story, as it stands that has been so disappointing and from what i can tell pointless... so far.
I think Aryas storyline was good as it was leading to o a final confrontation with the Waif. Then last nights episode just wasted 2 years of storytelling by having her kill her in the dark. We all knew she was using them to require her skill set but I'm interested to know why he smiled when Arya declared that she's Arya Stark of Winterfell.
Did nobody get that part? She's practised at fighting without sight, the blindness, it gave her an advantage over the Waif who was clearly a better fighter.
For next episode's bastard bowl I'm calling a white walker run-in that will inadvertently help Snow and his lot when they are up against it. Probably a bit of a longshot but **** it, worth a go !
I understand defeating her in darkness just as when she was blind but to build it up for 2 years, Arya killing the Waif should have been shown. That way it would have completed that part of her story with a payoff.
I said from the beginning of this season that the Vale will show up with its entire force and save Jon and crush Boltons army. Jon will win, his heritage revealed and he'll be crowned King in the North.
why? cos from season one the guy has been in her corner. he's help her then and he's know all along she was never going to be a faceless man. She also gave him a poke and he respects that. simple to my mind.
meh... looks to me this will be a classic barbarian hordes v the disciplined armies of rome effort and we are going to see a surrounding of forces and a tightening circle. WAY WAY too much pussy looking jon snow in the trialer for me. worried its not going to be epic at all. It really is telegraphed though that the vale will save him and that for me is a little disappointing. its pruely down to who dies or not not the outcome... and that kills drama. the trailer shows the wildlings not any sort of match for a proper shield wall so they've basically telegraphed everything
they should have even done it in a very dark/twilight or some effect where the noise of their fight was heard if nothing else. Thats my view. they could show us the trianing... in the very same episode jamie lannister is APPARENTLY visible for what looks to be a mile or more on the walls of river run in virtual drak waving ant briene who waves back... eh.... no.. sorry thats not realistic either so why not have the battle told in sound alone. 30seconds. then the lights come on and we find out which won.... that would be drama.
That's the more likely of the two, I just went leftfield to throw a curveball, but given the last few episodes my confidence in something that epic happening has dwindled. How many guys do the Vale have anyways ? More than 62 I guess Will be cool but it's such a Lord of the Ring rip (when Gandalf rides in with the reinforcements at the end battle) it's not even funny. Not sure how they will reveal John's parentage (if they go with that angle) since Bran is the only ****er who knows. I know he's headed south to the wall presumably but will he get there in time for the next episode ? You know what, I'd actually respect them if they switched it completely and Ramsay just wins and ends up in total control but with no idea what's coming with John either 'dead' or on the run. Ramsay and his guys could then have brutal deaths from white walkers or even become whites and the story would end with Jon and Dany or a combination of the 'good guys' ending up victorious or, and i think this would be the most surprising thing and pretty cool and funny since it would piss so many people off, the world taken over by whites with Ramsey one of the newly created followers of the night king. That would be all kinds of epic and awesome actually !!
In fact the more I think about it the more my second para above seems logical and a totally great conclusion to the story. None of these characters really deserve a positive outcome, they're all morally flawed and bad on some level, even the cleanest ones like Snow who has done morally ambiguous stuff. And how bad really are the white walkers and night king ? No worse than any human for sure, in fact we've hardly seen them do anything malevolent. Ok a couple of battles against the wildlings and nights watch but what are they supposed to do, conflict was inevitable there. Ok, turning human babies cold, well they were freely given the babies, even if they intimidated Frey into it, but why, maybe its self preservation and protecting nature ? We don't know enough about them to say it isn't this. Perhaps they are simply trying to full fill their original purpose and protect the world from a rotten generation and keep it for a better one ?
