    I do seem to remember him wanting the UK to sign up to the euro as our currency, as at the time around 80% of his trade was inside Europe and he complained that the exchange rates were negatively affecting his business. I suppose now how has "done" Europe he doesn't give a **** about the euro.
    Can't find anything to suggest he was either a pro-European or a skeptic.
