After seeing this quote in an article on Sky news about the court cases of fans in France I can not see how anybody can justify the Russians keeping the World Cup. Meanwhile, an ultra-nationalist Russian politician has praised the country's fans for fighting England supporters and has told them to "keep it up!" Igor Lebedev, who also sits on the Russian Football Union executive committee, said on Twitter: "I don't see anything wrong with fans fighting." He said the violence was "not the fans' fault" and blamed the French police's "inability to organise such events". I know they will keep the World Cup. But just imagine if that was a quote from the FA!
Russia should be stripped of it as soon as possible so an alternative country can be found so they can prepare The Worlds problem with Russia is every time they step over the line , in sports events or World affairs , we move the line back and threaten them . It's time for threats to stop and real reprecusions to take place .
We are up against it no question, sending the Russians home would be no punishment, and I doubt it would bother the perpetrators one iota. Only way out of this is for our fans to behave themselves no matter what the provocation either that or come home. No action will be taken against Russia unless they attack the French or the Germans and somehow I dont think this will happen. Putin is a shrewd and ruthless opponent and a willy street fighter, we have no chance, it would not surprise me if this planned attack, was a ploy to divide Europe which of course would be to Russias long term advantage.
