And yet any action will most likely be against the Russian football authorities, for not controlling their fans, in a foreign country.

The football authorities can do a fair bit, but surely events outside their country should result in questions being asked about local measures. Even deeper, it's society that makes people, football is simply the venue.

It's as if some want these things to happen, to justify their existence and gain more controls.

The problem Woy has created is that he has Sterling and Lallana as the only two natural wide men in the squad, although granted Lallana is equally at home infield. To remove a misfiring Sterling would potentially effect the balance of the team and result in a change of what appeared to be a decent formation 4-3-3. Then he has the likes of Milner and Henderson queueing for the one defensive midfield spot currently made his own by Dier. Putting the likes of Vardy or Sturridge out to the flank is nullifying their threat. So with his chosen squad he has caused his own problems. Sterling may improve as the tournament goes on, (he needs to) or I suspect that we will continue to flatter to deceive through this tournament.

On the plus side, Rooney and Dier I thought had excellent games, as did the full backs, and Lallana is finally showing form he had at Southampton. Wiltshire looked good when he came on, and the amount of chances we created surely if we do the same against the Welsh we`ll take more then one.

I too was impressed by the midfield partnership between the posh Portuguese fella and the Scouse Ogre fella. This is an arrangement that I can really see working over the next few years. Especially if the Owl headed old fella has the sense to put the tag wearing, Jap hating fella onto the pitch.

The fella with the neck tattoo and blood across his face doesn't seem like the peaceful type to me.

England fans bring it all on themselves after decades of misbehaving like ****s across Europe, there'll still be a hardcore of England supporters out there up to no good with no intention of watching the football.

The Russians will blame the English and the English will blame the Russians - the footage will all be shown relevant to whichever section of fans they want to be able to blame.

Rooney in midfield worked, and the team seems to fit him in a lot better like that. For years we've had in-form strikers on the bench so that Rooney could start up front. Sometimes he's played out wide which doesn't suit him either. I think he looks better in midfield and am surprised he hasn't played more there in his career so far.

Subbing him for Wilshere was no problem. Wilshere is another excellent player who did well when he came on. I don't know why so many people have it in for him. I think the only thing we could have done better was to not accept being on the back foot so readily. We were miles better than them and shouldn't have been defending loads or crosses and set pieces at the end. More importantly though we should have scored more; we always seems to miss too many chances in tournaments.

I think Hodgson should have put Vardy on for last 10 -15 minutes as Russia had to come out more chasing the equalizer, his pace would have exploited the gaps they were leaving, the Russian centre backs were looking very slow and tired and he would have taken them for pace if we had hit balls into the channels for him to chase.

UEFA must be rubbing their grubby little hands together seeing that trouble! I know it's not right for the fighting & trouble that a few, when I say a few I mean in terms of general English supporters, start & take part in, but the authorities would love to kick England out.
I really thought I wouldn't be hearing this once that corrupt **** Blatter had gone, but it seems the English really are hated by everyone when it comes to football.

I could have highlighted the entire post, it's not just you saying this. It's also not ****ing rocket science for Roy either. How he can't see it, I'll never know?
If we go out earlier than the 1/4's then Roy will have to take the blame & will probably be ****ed off.

Their two centre backs were ... slow? Compared to our two puddle-ducks? OK, gotcha.

Hodgson should have brought Stones on to bolster the defence when STERLING went off instead of Milner. Instead of checking his man Milner committed himself and let his man waltz past him and put in the cross. Milner is CRAP..Sterling wasn't much better after a bright start and Llanana can't hit a barn door with a banjo. That said a half decent performance, but if we can't score goals we'll struggle like hell later in the proceedings.

How galling for that Peterborough fan to see his flag getting snatched again and again on the news?
Amusing to see a Lincoln flag get snatched too.
When he gets back to Minsk and proudly shows it to his pals at the martial arts and roids centre, they will probably tell him he needn't have bothered....it's a carrot crunching non league team and as such, it's worthless.

It's quite funny, in a twisted way, that the Russian Hoolies are basically 30 years too late.

They're attacking what would generally be known as flaskers. The flags they're "winning in combat" aren't the colours of an English "Firm" but something people take in the hope their mates/family see on the tele back in the UK.

Considering the supposed threat level, and levels of policing in France, especially around football games, how the **** can there have been no Russians arrested?

That charge at a family section could easily have resulted in a disaster. The Russian sports minister has basically said "Good on them" in regards to his countries thugs. Ours says our fans being shame on us all. You know, having the temerity to be attacked, the ****s.

French thugs attack our fans. Our fans get tear gassed and arrested. **** all happens to the French.

Russian thugs attack our fans. Our fans get arrested. **** all happens to the Russians.

Someone in going to die in this violence. Regardless of who or how, we're going to get the blame for it.

Why anyone would want to stay a part of the EU, FIFA or EUFA is baffling. They despise us.
