I agree, especially your comments regarding Dan Harding, but I think that Dickson is only marginally better unfortunately. Perhaps he will get his chance to show what he can do this season. What I do find a bit strange though is, there have been a number of comments about Dan Seaborne not being good enough because he makes so many mistakes. Yet Dan Harding still remains a firm favourite with many of our fans and escapes similar criticism despite making more than his fair share of mistakes IMO.
Four four twos predictions seem far more realistic. If Brighton finish 7th and us and birminum finish in the bottom half I'll eat my hat
I'd be more concerned if they were to predict we'd finish first. Relax, this is going to be a fun ride.
Agree with most posters what they've actually said about our team is very accurate and I agree with almost all of it, However the table they have is atrocious and thats not just our position but other teams as well.
You don't have to be a football genius to see that a Man Utd reserve player isn't going to fix the second worse in defence in League 1
Our position is realistic, but Derby, Burnley, Hull, Boro, Birmingham, Brighton, Blackpool and Portsmouth are very wrong IMO
I may be being controversial but I don't think we were that great defensively last season. We had a load of clean sheets at home but I think that was mainly down to teams putting ten men behind the ball. When teams attacked us, I did feel our defence was quite vulnerable.
If it has any links to Murdoch it cannot be trusted. Brighton may do well though. I don't think Forest or Cardiff will do as well as many people think, but agree with views on Blackpool and Birmingham.
Well said. He most certainly makes more than his fair share. He does not escape criticism with me. Any way, as for the article, I don't agree with many of the predicitions of the other teams, but I pretty much agree with ours. I've said all along that we'll finish around 12th - 16th, so yeah 13th is pretty much bang on. Unless we splash the cash - and thankfully that doesn't appear like it will be the case - then those people who are expecting nothing less than a top 10 finish may well find themselves in for a disappointing season I'm afraid. And as the article points out, our defence will be a major reason.
The sunday sport has us finishing 7th. To be honest i think the i'd prefer the telegraph prediction in a way. To finish 1 place off the play offs would be a crushing blow.
I have always said I would be content with a top half finish this season, would be delighted with playoffs and over the moon if we did manage promotion but I do think that may be a step too far this season! Only 5 days remaining till Leeds get the hiding we should've given them at home last time we played them!
