Игорь Лебедев@Russian1972 Не вижу ничего страшного в драке фанатов. Наоборот, молодцы наши ребята. Так держать! He's the Deputy Chairman of the Russian Parliament and that tweet translates to - "I do not see anything terrible in fight fans. On the contrary, well done, our guys. Keep it up!"
Who thought it was a good idea to sell beer in bottles and serve pints in glasses? Im not suggesting they dont stop this across the whole city, but seems inflammatory to serve to large groups of obvious football fans.
Well yeah, but talk about closing the stable door. Im not sure an alcohol ban was needed anyway, that'll just wind fans up. All they need to do was not sell bottles or serve in glasses.
England could be expelled from the tournament? not a bad idea. Russia wont get expelled tho', I mean they host the competition next. if they remove the England fans from the equation, all you are left with are the remaining thugs.
Sadly the genuine England fans who go for the football and not to fight will be the ones who get their heads stoved in, whilst those who go to fight will sneak out. The reputation of some England fans means all England fans are tarnished. Meanwhile on the pitch...If England can't see out games against poor opposition like Russia, we might as well come home, because we'll do Jack **** against the decent sides... Why..or why does Woy insist of bringing on Milner. I blame him for allowing the bloke to get the cross in. Idiot.
Arrests in Charleroi in 2000 after trouble with England fans: 584 Arrests in Marseille this past weekend: 20 (6 English, one of who was only 16)
Scores of English, middle aged blokes with huge beer bellies, swilling beer and shouting 'Eng-er-land' are no match for hardened Eastern Europe thugs, many of whom are stone cold sober and look like paramilitaries sent over by their bosses to cause as much trouble as possible. With the collapse of the Soviet block came a new breed of hooligan.
Probably both. Certainly the latter, the French prosecutors say it was 150 Russians who were largely responsible for the trouble and they didn't manage (or were too scared) to nick a single one of them.
The significance of '150 Russians'. Politically motivated attack by Russia. The number of Russian politicians/oligarchs/industrialists banned from entering the EU is around 150. This is part of the EU's sanctions against Russia for annexing Crimea and it's role in destabilising Ukraine. It's all part of the game Putin is playing with the EU.
French have always despised the English, and tbh looking at the images the English fans are easier targets for arrest then the Ruskis
I saw news clip of the Russians walking through the streets holding chairs on their heads! The reporter said they looked like a Roman legion heading into battle! Then you see one hit an England fan over the head! They were very calculated.
Instead of thanking us for saving them in WW2, the French just feel humiliated by it and hate us. The Germans on the other hand only invaded France so that's all right then.
Who's going to go to Russia for the 2018 world cup....? No one. A mate of mine went to Moscow to watch England play there in a qualification game.. He told me the walk from the hotel to the stadium was like trying to walk through a minefield with gangs of Russians on every street corner on the look out for England fans. He got out of there PDQ
