You also have the continuing problem of finishing teams off and making the most of your chances. Van Persie aside, your strikers' finishing isn't really good enough.
I feel for Bartley, he couldn't really have done anything about the OG. I just hope it doesn't affect his confidence. I think he's got a good future at Arsenal. But I do still think we desperately need another top quality CB
He's right though. The amount of chances we created we should have been top scorers easily. Can you really say Arsenal have good finishing? Even today we missed 2 or 3 sitters.
It explains why there were several matches where you hammered the opposition only to end up being caught out at the other end.
I think we should have put some of those chances away yes, but for me both RVP and Gervinho looked really good. I think Vela and Chamakh still need to prove themselves. Chamakh started last season really well, let's hope he can regain some of that form.
Well then that doesn't really explain why our 'strikers' finishing isn't really good enough' does it? So what is it you're trying to wum us with Berb, our defence or our strikers?
I think that hammering the opposition but failing to take your chances suggests your strikers' finishing isn't good enough.
Agreed I think we're much more effective with two up front. RVP and Gervinho or RVP and Chamakh would be a good pairing.
I've never understood why we started playing 4-3-3 when 4-4-2 had served us so well.It may explain why i post on internet forums rather than managing a football team.
