Where does the current Barcelona team rank in your view amongst the best teams you've seen?

Was having this discussion a few days ago with some work mates and opinion was divided with some saying they're the best they've ever seen and others saying take Xavi,Iniesta and Messi out and they'd be distinctly average.

Awesome team. Why the **** did they have to be so good now? We could be on 19/5 now <grr>

QPR team of the mid 70's far surpasses them, as does the QPR team of the early 70's, late 70's, all the 60's,80's,90's,2000's and 50's.

SAdly, before the 50's we weren't that good.

Most teams are average if you take their best 3 players out of the team!!!!

Would love to see them with a real top class striker to lead the line with Messi right, Villa left & Sergio, Xavi & Iniesta in the middle of the park - then they could be unbeatable!!

They were basically making out they're a 3-man team though and whilst those 3 are key to how they play,I think that's a bit naive when they have Puyol,Pique,Pedro,Villa....!!!

I'm only 27 but they're comfortably the best I've seen. A lot's said about how good they are at keeping the ball and going forward, but the work they do when they haven't got it is outstanding!

The 5-0 hammering they gave Real last season was honestly like nothing I've seen before.

From my point of view (I am Real Madrid supporter), there is no team nowadays who can surpass Barcelona. No one. Maybe Man City in the Champions League and Real Madrid or even Malaga in the Liga. 5-0 at Nou Camp is one of the best matches I've seen in my life. And I have seen 70s Holland, 70s Liverpool, 90s Milan, 70s Brazil... like Barcelona, there is no-one better. They're making a golden era in Spanish (and World, because half of the World Cup winners' squad in 2010 are from Barça)

They are a great team, if Guardiola can bring the likes of Alcantara through and sign Fabreags then they will take some beating for many years to come.
