No big deal. It'll be on iPlayer. There's barely a programme that can be missed these days, unless you leave it forever. There's usually some way to see what you want.
Today we've travelled from rapid city to Cody, Wyoming. Not as hot as yesterday (100 degrees) thankfully as we are off to the rodeo tonight, yeeeha. Yellowstone tomorrow.!
This, from Sky News, is just absolutely ****ing staggering. I'm amazed that Jones, as a gay man himself, didn't walk off sooner. Seriously - watch this. Two straight people telling a gay man he's wrong to portray the Orlando attack as an attack on homosexuality despite the fact it happened solely in a gay club during gay pride month. The other two in this video ought to be ashamed of their behaviour. Unbelievable.
... the agenda was guns in america and terrorism, he confused them by randomly bringing up homophobia ... and then as he left they moved on to London Gay Pride, which I they had already said was apparently irrelevant
Sounds like a brilliant trip - am planning to do similar in a couple of years when I've saved up enough. Where you headed after Yellowstone?
Utterly appalling. They could see he was visibly upset and uncomfortable and never appreciated that. It was clearly a homophobic attack as he had a past of being appalled by homosexual acts. I don't like the way the media are reporting this one now - very much following the Trump line of things: He was a nutter who supported Isis and killed anyone in sight. He was a man with a history of homophobic attitudes, he was freely able to pick up an assault rifle and pistol (frankly I have lost all attempts of trying to argue for gun control), and deliberately targeted this group for their sexuality. Awful.
The root cause was religion expecting others to conform to you...he developed a hatred for the Western world (despite benefitting from it) and took homosexuality as a prime example of decadence....it could just as easily have been a girls school (as it is in other such attacks). But his hatred was against homosexuals....only a psychiatrist could work that one out. He lived in a society where guns were easy to come by. IS gave him validation...but he may have had no serious links with them. In my eyes (and everyone else's I should imagine), a very wicked man who could easily obtain heavy weaponry with a hatred of happiness in others.
