I thought that there's only one compound they have to use at each GP. In this case softs? (well softs and any other)

But now I'm doubting myself.

 

This is correct and this is WHY Vettel just came in at this point onto said Softs.

Formula1.com stated back in Feb 'Teams must also have at least two sets of softs in reserve for the race, and must use at least one of them.' So I guess you are correct that Softs are the Mandatory tyre.

Sounds like Nico has issues.....

 

Really saddens me that we have Alonso trying to push that Honda around and is powerless to do a thing. The sport is poorer for a woeful McLaren isn't it, regardless of whether you like them or their drivers.

On a side note, Rosberg in traffic is poor.
