    Oh right, fair enough. I don't think it's impossible that he would stay, if Poch doesn't want him. But I wonder if the board think a multi-year contract on VVD/Forster/Fonte money is worth it. Probably is, to be fair.

    In my mind Wanyama is history. He has done well for us...although a bit prone to getting sent off. He has never suggested his future is with us and has tried to leave....with one year on his contract, best to let him go. Thanks a million, Victor.

    Spurs aren't as dumb as Liverpool (and seeming Everton) - we'll only get his market worth. Unfortunately they are quite well run. As a club to emulate, we used to say Swansea. I'd say we've surpassed their level & wouldn't mind taking Spurs as an example of how to do business at the next level in the football food chain. They built and hung around for years in the Europa places, with an occasional champions League foray. That's our ambition now, surely.

    The Ibe swap rumour has been resurrected by the media. Unless we have Ibe on our radar, this has no legs. We aren't here to assist Liverpool out of their problems. If he isn't good enough for Liverpool, he isn't good enough for us....unless we believe he has been misused and would be better for us. Let's hope that rumours are true and Mane is staying.

    Always find it amusing how many 'swap' rumours there are compared to how many actually take place.....in fact I can't remmeber the last swap deal that took place (I'm not counting Tommy Forecast as a swap deal!)
