I'd be quite happy to see Pelle go to Everton. I like Pelle and have defended him in the past, but he's not getting any younger or healthier, and he's not Champion's League-type quality.

Think how pissed you would be as an Everton fan if you really needed a striker (which Everton does), and you gave Koeman a truckload of cash to go out and get the best one he can possibly buy.... and he comes back with Pelle. It would start things off on the wrong foot. Think how much some Saints fans dislike Pelle, and multiply that by ten.

I hope for Pelle's sake he doesn't make that move. I don't see it happening either. But if it does, it'll be hilarious.

I think Pelle has done well for us...over and beyond a pure striker, but I would think Everton would expect him only to be a back up if they have oodles of cash. I think he could do well for them which is why I want him to go elsewhere.

Yeah, but there are plenty of places where Pelle can start. In his home country, no less. Or, if he's going to be a backup/rotation guy in PL he is probably better off staying here.

The only way it really makes sense for Pelle to make that move is under the same circumstances Koeman did. Someone offers him a deal that is too good to turn down. So if Everton want to pay us 10m, and then drastically overpay Pelle to sit on the bench I am quite happy with that. Let them squander their resources.

At Pelle's age, he couldn't turn down stoopid money.

[On topic: I've heard Lionel Messi is quite good. Anyone know if he's available?]

I've heard that there's a mid-table team with £100 million burning a hole in their collective pocket. Perhaps they could use it all up in one go, get Messi as a superstar, to build their team round, then when that fails, install him as manager in place of their current (OK not yet current) fly by night incumbent.

Not unexpected media suggestion that rat face will be after Forster (or any other player not nailed down). I would suggest to SFC that we resist all attempts by Everton to buy our players....I don't care what the price is. We have a nice side together now....a team that can play well together is worth more than the collective value of the players. Do what Cortese said he did....bin all offers....and don't open dialogue with either player or club.

I sometimes wonder if the media even follow what's going on in the world ... he's just signed a new contract for christ sake, but let's not let facts get in the way of a "bring the saints down" story, eh?

Every newspaper has to have it's " let's kick sand in Southampton's face" story.

Would explain why Sadio often looked pointedly stone faced after scoring.

In the Sunday People today that Saints have reluctantly accepted that Victor wants to play for Mauricio again.

Negotiations now moving along and Spurs willing to make a deal that at the very least gets us our £12m outlay back.

Hasn't stopped Vardy being linked with Arsenal and he's just won a championship medal with Leicester. However, I don't think we will listen to offers for Forster or Virgil....Les has a cattle prod at the ready should either appear in his doorway.

I think we should refuse to let Vic go there on the grounds that a Wanyama/Dier pairing, would be like handing nuclear weapons to Iraq.

Jeez I would be wanting a bit more than that. I love Romeu and he is a capable replacement but with more games next season I would hope that the club will sign another player in the Wanyama mould. Have we been linked with such a player?

I would give them Pelle + 4mil for Zaza. Being a Juventus fan myself I would love to see the two teams I support do business and for a player I really love to move to a team where I can still appreciate him.

We must screw Spurs for more money than that....do they want him or not? Katharina does not get off her chaise longue for 12 million!

16Mil I would be happy with. But with how stingy Levy is, I'd be surprised to get more than the 12.

If we get what we paid for Vic when he is into his last year of contract then I'd say that is good business. He's good, but replaceable so lets replace him.

Spurs though? Hmn. Due to his slipperiness being eclipsed by that of koeman, I've moved on from my earlier poch hatred; I just don't want any players going to spurs because they look a bit good already.

Has Katharina been sitting on Shane Long? No wonder he is so speedy on the pitch, he is looking for the exit...
