The truth is that the longer term effects of Brexit are, to quote Rumsfeld, an unknown unknown. Much would depend on what trade agreements could be made. How the economy recovers from the initial shrinkage, etc.

The short term effects would, however, be significant. The pound will drop like a stone, inflation will rise, as will retail prices. Unemployment will rise. Stock market will tank, etc.

These effects will last for at least a year, and maybe far longer.

I'm glad I paid for our summer holiday to Greece 3 months ago and that we're going all inclusive. I can get hammered without worrying about how much more the booze costs compared to last year!

That's why I wont be selfish, I want my children, future grandchildren and so-on to have a better future. I might get hit hard at first but generations will have a brighter future. We shouldn't rely on the EU because if it ever goes tits up (which it will eventually) we would be in much much more **** then if we leave now.

It won't go tits up, it's gone too far for that. Too much involved. If the EU were to go tits up, the global economy would go with it!....

If it goes tits up we will most likely be able to walk away from it in a strong position in relative terms as the GBP is not linked to the EUR. Your pound will be worth a hell of a lot more outside of Britain!

I don't think we "rely" on the EU, we benefit from it in certain ways and, true, are penalised because of it in certain ways. I think the good outweighs the bad.

Going into Europe but not agreeing to the Euro set a precedent ie we will be part of the EU but on our terms. If we stay in I suspect Cameron will go to the EU and tell them that they're lucky Britain decided to stay in and now it's time to renegotiate a few things unless they want him to call another referendum.

The same jobs the Brits are not getting as its cheaper to employ Romanians on minimum wage in central London, where no brit can afford to work/live.

**** the lot of them off

The vast majority of multi million pound properties in central London are not owned by Europeans. Russians, Chinese, and Middle East.

Leaving Europe won't change that...Brits still won't be able to afford to live there.

Why is it cheaper to employ Romanians? You mean they will work for the money on offer but the Brits won't? I agree.

The solution to the problem you're concerned about is raising the minimum wage not getting rid of the Romanians who are prepared to work. However even if they raised the minimum wage I suspect a lot of the Brits who "can't" get a job because Romanians are taking them will still think it's a better life not working at all than working for minimum wage.

Don't you think employers would rather have staff who speak fluent English? If they can't get them then they turn to other options.

Actually it will change it a bit NSIS. The Russian, Chinese and Middle East money will stop coming into the prime property market as Britain won't be considered as safe a bet as it has been. It's already happening, there is almost no market in London for properties over £2million.

The easy thing is to say, **** it, that only impacts the rich but of course that is bollocks. Someone has to plan, build, clean and maintain these properties. If there's no market then it impacts the jobs that depend on rich people buying expensive houses.

In any slowdown in trade in almost any industry there is a trickle down effect that impacts the people at the "bottom" of the food chain far more than the people at the "top". Just like in the banking sector.

The banks go, the bankers either go with them or they're well off enough to review their options. The guy cleaning the toilets at night however has to find another job sharpish as he can't afford to be out of work. He's most likely Romanian as British people are too good to clean toilets at night!

If we stay in we will get a U army (France and Germany have said it will happen) that will mean conscription of 2 years, that to be fair would be a good idea as youngsters need learn.
The UK will have to pay more into the EU for no return, again thats been said by the EU 2 Billion this year.
Also 20 Billion will be needed for all the migrants (invasion of young men, who should be sent back to fight)
More counties will join the EU, poor counties where the people will come to the UK for free houses , Health care and benefits (just like now)
A EU superstate where you get no votes on who runs the show, thats no democracy for you, at least we can choose who we want to **** this country up

Business want the easy option of pre skilled workers, when they can train the Brits up I will word it better:-
Business should be made to employ young Brits and train them up before they are allowed to import skilled workers.

PS UKIP are not a racist Party, only a **** and mong would think they are.

Live in the real world, if you can employ a man for £7.20 an hour you would, where the real wage should be (for example) £12 per hour, we all will suffer, lower quality of life as you will not be able to buy a new car, go on holiday, smaller houses etc.

Lots of Brits are happy to work but minimum wage stops it, I could not live on less than £12 per hour as I would not be able to pay my bills etc.

To be fair Custard if you're just going to throw insults around to try and support your viewpoint (which seems to be that all the ills of the world are down to bloody foreigners) then there's no point discussing this matter with you. UKIP supporters view everything through a single issue lens which radically and dangerously distorts their thinking.

So we agree that the issue is minimum wage not the Romanians.

Unless you think Brits need more money to live than Romanians do?

Same old same, you start to lose an argument and you cry. Typical Tory/Labour voter.

I dont have a problem with foreigners, but we must control it and only an exit will do that. I dont want to live in a country with 80M+ people in it

It's the culmination of a number of issues. Stamp duty, overheating and Brexit. There are almost no land and property deals happening at the minute as the market is waiting for the outcome of Brexit. The general concensus is the market will dip if Britain leaves the EU. Happy to debate this one at length given it's my industry!

Romanians live 10 to a house so they can live on a lower wage, do you live in the real world?
Take out the unwanted workforce and wages will rise and we will all be happy
