Just finished watching an amazing game of rugby (NZ v Wales) - think it was one of the best I've seen since Barbarians v NZ in 1973. Fantastic from both teams - rugby at another level. Well played Wales - incredible performance, but just not quite enough to beat the most successful team on the planet. Now on to Australia v England. Going to be a huge day for sport!!
NZ can bring players on with 20 minutes to go and blitz teams, that was the difference. Cracking game though. Watching the big Southern Hemisphere teams play is incredible.
Time is so bizarre - you get really frustrated at how slow things are moving, but I just realised it's exactly a year today that we recorded this in front of 100 people at the Prince Albert in Brighton. In two weeks today, we're playing on a 10,000 capacity stage at prime time on the Saturday evening at Glastonbury. I guess that's progress.
Yes exactly, Jaidi. Wales lost the game because their bench wasn't as strong. To take off 2 of their best players (scrum half and hooker) and replace them with good players (just not quite as good) hurt their play. The way the Blacks play is quite incredible. We need to step up northern hemisphere play to that level. It's coming I think ......
The Aussies failure to convert the two tries they scored means it's 10-6 not 14-6. Could prove costly.
Lovely birthday pressie to the Queen Happy Birthday Auntie Liz - perfect pressie the boys beating one of the little colonies! Arise Sir Eddie!!
Every time I looked the Aussies were in command...England just kept scoring when I was watching the cricket. Great result.
