He was replaced because Monk was clueless. We started picking up points as soon as Leon was restored to the starting 11.

Your being silly now valley. I like Leon as much as anyone but he is past his sell by date of being on top of his game. give me cork any day of the week now. the amount of times he was muscled of the ball was embarrassing and you never lose your skill but you do lose your speed and agility to cope with bigger younger players. the signs were there the season before last so to think he is still one of or best players is nonsense.... He use to be one of our best players but age has caught him up like it has with everyone. His height don't help him none either as he is far too lightweight against bigger players and i would hate to see him get badly hurt trying to carry on at top level football...

    Answer my question then.

Name 5 players that are better than Leon in our squad.

That your statement on Leon is bollocks, as it was this time last year.

I hope they are both on their way and we bring in 2 new strikers, I know Paloschi is Roofs love child, but just don't see him anywhere near good enough in terms of goals and we can do a lot better. My only other concern is that it doesn't bode well for Guidolins possible future signings, if his first is allowed to go after 4 months.

Agree. We've wasted £8 million on him. He's a £3-£4 million striker at most,

Partially agree with Dai on Leon but only about his aging legs, ability wise he is what he always has been. Rumour that Paloschi is on his way to Atlanta. Our recruitment policy lately has been pants and just hope the Yanks are ruthless enough to get rid of whoever is responsible.

Agree he's not getting younger, but he's still good enough to start games against most sides, what he will struggle with is week in week out so he needs to be managed carefully. We could get another 2 seasons out of him if done correctly. Just think, sign Joe, with Leon to come off the bench to replace him with 20-25 mins to go etc.

No he is not good enough to start valley ...we need much younger better players now. We all saw him struggle quite a lot of games last season and when you start with a player like leon then you have already committed one of the subs. Swansea look to be all over the place with transfers at the moment as we seem to be putting all our eggs in one basket on something that may not happen. While we hold out for Bony and Joe we are not doing anything except selling our strikers and there is no guarantee we will get any of them.....Then we have Ayew and Gyfi two important players that possibly could be tempted by better deals by other clubs. We should know Gyfi's intention soon on whether he signs a new contract or not......Im not impressed at all so far on the way we are doing things as other clubs look to be more organized and are actually signing players some of which we were linked too....To me it all looks a bit of a shambles just like our ticket office and if things dont massively start to improve then we will end up panic buying at the last minute like we always do and they end up the wrong players as all the good players have been snapped up long ago....

I wish you two were on your way ...if he goes , it will be because he doesn't want to be here , not because Guidolin wants him gone .
    Wouldn't blame him either .

Leon has been my favourite player since I started watching the Swans in 1958. I don't think we should get rid of him yet and agree Valley we should manage him and use his talent and experience in the right way. My own view is we should have him on the bench and bring him on when we need to manage the game. Let younger legs start when more physical effort is required, although I can see the argument for using his experience at the start as well. We need to start looking at replacements for some of our older players as we must not leave it until, as will happen, their legs suddenly go.

**** mine Roof, am I not allowed to have an opinion. I don't rate him as good enough and that is why the club are probably cutting their loses now, rather than get nothing for him at the end of next season, pretty shrewd of them.

What have the club done then for you to not blame him for moving.

Roof, he's a piss poor PL season 1 version of Danny Graham. If he's leading our attack next season we are going down.

As for the snide remarks, grow up.

He struggled in a couple (and that's only because of his usual immaculate standards that we notice) but completely outclassed everyone in the majority.
    Did you watch the games?
