yeah, i thought i heard Mclaren tell him the call was his and he said he was gonna stay out, then you saw him drive past the entrance.
Well it's looking like the tyres came into play for both Nico and Michael, I say we wait until next year for a fair reflection on how they do in the top flight. Tyres for them degrade twice as quick and it's a shame because they both go up the grid by about 3-4 cars at the start, but then 7-9 laps afterwards they just go backwards. Roll on 2012 Mercedes.
I don't think Vettel will finish the season without a dnf or 2. it aint ove til Mrs Miggins starts a singin'
It is heartbreaking to watch a former champion and a champion's son reduced to driving a slippery pile of metal and cope with mechanical failures every other race. Schumacher gained 5 and Nico had a decent race, but eventually things turned upside down for both of them...
Sorry but I saw him say it over the radio at the time, Mclaren asked if he wanted to stay out or come in and he wanted to stay out. please log in to view this image
I agree with Mifune, Lewis had a good lead, but Jenson was slowly eating into it before Lewis even went on the options.
He might have won but he didn't. There was a point from which Button seemed to gain the control and the belief which was compounded by Lewis's tyre woes and the penalty.
I disagree. I am pretty sure if he had put the primes on(barring any spins/penalty's) he would have won because he had around 6 secs gap and could just manage the gap.
Maybe but it didn't happen that way. I've noticed that Lewis rarely has two wins on the trot in recent times. I think he will be mighty in Spa though.
Yes but Button was eating into it as he had the previous two stints where he had got it down to 2-3 secs before Hamilton pitted which allowed him to pull it back out on the freshers tyres before Button pitted, and then Button would get it back down again.
I still disagree. Lewis would have had it under control. He could just lap a few tenths slower each lap then when it got to around 2-3 secs he could pick up the pace for 2 laps then back off and so on.
He was not backing off, Button was a tiny bit faster generally after the first stint and he was managing his tyres better so near the end of the stints he was between 5/tenths to a second a lap faster than Hamilton.
Actually nahh he wouldn't have had it. Jenson would have won easily because he had a lot more life in the tyres and was faster. I am saving my posts for the 1000th quiz, dont really want to be warned by a mod for bad language, and very hungry at the moment. (I still disagree with you)
Next two races could be won by Mclaren. Spa they are always very strong at and Monza has 3 big straights which suits their car perfectly and Red Bull seem to struggle there aswell. Good win by Button today, unlucky for Lewis.
