Replacing six squad players plus Stones and Lukaku (plus Berkley too?) when everyone knows you have £100m in your wallet won't be easy as they will have an Everton Tariff added to the value In addition bedding in 8-10 new players into an already under performing squad will be a challenge too With any luck he will be joining the other Bin Dippers by Xmas
Dear God, I know I asked for Fonte wrapped in a red ribbon for Christmas, but you can forget the ribbon if you make Ron fall on his arse. Love Fran
Yes, can't wait to see evidence of how Moshiri means business and doesn't take no for an answer once they lose Lukaku and Stones.
I can see Everton turning from a solidly run club to an absolute soap opera this season as the new owner having spent £100m+ wants immediate results and starts to interfere in footballing business.......I really hope they turn into the big club to implode due to greed and stupid rich owners and to see RK out on his arse will be the icing on the cake
Perhaps they will change their strip to be red, as this is a lucky colour (Vincent Tan, football genius). Now that would be funny! Still, if it does happen, Ron will have a vanload of Veho red and white shirts. They could come in handy - one per plastic (no longer blue) seat.
I see Merson has predicted Everton to win the title next season. Where does he get this stuff from? I know Leicester won last season, but you don't get surprises like that every season. And money helps, but doesn't make a team. Even if they bought all the right players, it would still take a bit of time to bed them in. Leicester were already performing towards the end of the previous season. Poch took a season to get Spurs firing.
I was surprised that Kenwright brought in a "throw money at everything" person after saying for so long that he would only let the club go to the "right person" who would look after the club in a similar way that he has. Money talks, I guess.
Gibson has signed a new deal. Hibbert has played about 3 games in 2 years, Pienaar similar, Mattioni never played for us, only Osman and Howard were first team regulars and both are past it and needed replacing. We've got some cracking youngsters on the verge of breaking through in addition to whoever we chose to buy. Don't worry about us mate
Moshiri is going to sort out the stadium issue in addition to providing funds for players, I'd say he was a good choice personally.
I asked Paddy Power to price up odds on Saints to finish about Everton next season, a couple of days ago. They've just got back to me and said they'll offer 19/20. Hmm...
£100 million really isn't that much now. How much have Man Utd spent in the last couple of seasons? They only just finished above us this season. It's a big ask to completely rebuilt asquad into a top 4 finish in 1 season.
That won't be the expectation. We finished 11th last season and the season before, the expectation will be to get us back in the mix for the EL places.
We have James Ward-Prowse, the captain of England U21s and he was only a bit part player under Koeman. Harrison Reed struggled to get any time at all on the pitch even when Wanyama was suspended. Koeman doesn't trust younger players as opposed to Pochettino who broke many through
Yep, we got a number who are considered at least worthy of a chance in the first team, to not even be given a chance in training. Reed has already proven himself as good enough, yer got 10minutes of PL action last year! We;re now at the point where a number of the academy players (and staff apparently) are very disenchanted because they feel the pathway is closed.
I have no problem with Everton...not sneaky bastards like Spurs who tried to dip out of paying compo for Poch, but difficult to get past the natural desire for the Lying Dutchman to fail miserably, snap both Achilles, lose his golf swing, and have to eat chips with tomato sauce for the rest of his life.
