I hope the people that predicted we would reach the semis/final/win it have watched the last two matches. We are still crap, just slightly less crap than a couple of years ago. Spain, Germany and France would make mincemeat of us.
At least you can look forward to playing Scotland in the World Cup qualifiers. We're even higher up the crapometer than you.
Not true Don, the Scotch are much better than England at 'Curling' ...... oh and 'Dicky' Murray's son is quite good at Tennis
A few good betting opportunities in the early stages. I have just backed Romania to get out of their group, Even money. I also think England will get eliminated as soon as they run into a half decent team - you can't be serious is a tournament with a back 4 of Walker, Cahill, Smalling & Rose
The FA need to show Woy the door after the Euros, regardless. A horrible boring sideways 4-4-2 Cautious Colin 1970s relic.
Had a free £10 bet last week, which I was able to cash out half way through the Slovakia game (£50, £209 if Slovakia won, which thankfully they didn't) so going to spend the next few hours going down Betfair laying that money out. Austria and Poland - on top as Romania as you say - appear good bets to get past the group stages.
Looking forward to the tournament as a whole. Nice to see the England team not hyped up to epic proportions.
Agree with all that Roy needs to go. No brainer for me that as much as I like Vardy, he should be a sub and we should play the same team and system as against Germany. Best I've seen us play for ages. (I know we can't play the same team) The moment we go 4-4-2 is the moment we'' be leaving the Euros Rooney's been playing midfield for Utd for couple of months and has been saying that he's enjoying it, and the fact it actually fits his game more in midfield it's perfect for him to go next to Dier. Alli & Kane can continue their partnership too. Which is why it beggared belief that Roy played Rooney up top last week I've had some of the 50s about De Bruyne being top scorer- brilliant finisher and plays 10 for the Belgians
The one thing I will always remember about Roy was when we were qualifying for the WC- the rearranged Monday night game away at Poland we hung on for a 1-1 draw, he hailed it as a 'brilliant result' Sums him up
I can't see Roy staying on, but similar to CAFC he seems to be popular as he's good with yoof and we have several talented players coming through. That may well see him stay to 2018 unless we fail spectacularly at Euro 2016.
That's the question - You'd think Pardew would throw his name in to the ring straight away (no, thats not an endorsement by me). No idea if he signed that contract which has been verbally agreed for about 6 months.
If Pardew got the England job then that would leave me in an interesting situation of being forced to BOOOOOOO England...... I think it's the law or something? The perma bronzed son of Croydon is an utter #unt! and I hate any team he manages....
