Wiggins wants Cav in Sky team, if/when the sprinter's contract ends: http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/wiggins-would-welcome-cavendish-at-sky
The only British-based pro team....more's the pity. And they have lots of ££££s to throw at the racing. Then, if it gets a big profile in the UK, guess which channel it will only be seen on?
I think it was David Millar who said there are two teams when you're racing: Those who dope and those who don't. (He knows cos he claims he used to). I also don't think it's all to do with the team and its doctor. The rider's temptation is to 'go for it' as the racing life is short, maybe a bit shorter than a pro footballer's, and the man is tempted by fame (and maximising his earnings over a short period). Some of the dodgy drugs lead to severe physical malfunctions - it's not all a piece of cake.
