In between the transfer rumours and deals, I thought I'd try and do something a bit different. So name your favourite 3 albums of all time in order of preference. Groups, solo artists, musicals, or classical (for those who do). So after lots of deliberation, mine are as follows 1) The Wall - Pink Floyd 2) Rainbow Rising - Rainbow (seeing them on Saturday 25th June in Birmingham) 2) Misplaced Childhood - Marillion
I'm giving you 3 of my favourites trying to stick to your criteria but honestly angelic, I'm such an old fart I could give you loads of different combinations, these are my current choices.. 1) Alone in the Universe - Jeff Lynne's ELO 2) Brothers in Arms - Dire Straits 3) 3 Sides Live - Genesis
Love all three of them. Mine is 1) The Final Cut - Pink Floyd 2) Under a Blood Red Sky - U2 3) Tourist - Athlete But choosing three is difficult, and I'm going to listen to Misplaced Childhood tomorrow again.
Jeez, its so difficult to pick 3.. U2 -- The Joshua tree Oasis.-- Definitely maybe. Simple Minds -- Once upon a time. ( sub) Currently loving, Florence ATM -- How big, How blue, How beautiful.
1. The black parade my chemical romance 2. Blue neighbourhood troye sivian 3 slippery when wet bon Jovi
I was toying between Joshua Tree and Under a Blood Red Sky, but it was the live at Red Rocks tour that got me into U2. Can't believe that it was long ago and seen them loads of time now. The other one is a greatest hits by James, I love summer days in the garden drinking. Sorry Angelic I've got The Thieving Magpie which is basically Misplaced Childhood live that I listen too it's fantastic.
Out of the Blue - ELO Making Movies - Dire Straits (Tunnel of love still gives me goosebumps now as a guitarist) everything by AC/DC and Bryan Adams There are loads of others - if you like any of the above try Kid Rock's Born Free album - the kid's a prat but amongst the dross that album is pretty good.
nearly impossible but tupelo honey- van Morrison londons calling - the clash five guys walk into a bar - the faces the last ones cheating a bit being a four piece box set but I love it,
**** how do you pick just 3..... I'll pick 3 and change my mind but I'll go with these... Not in order, can't pick a favourite Catfish And The Bottlemen - The Balcony Jake Bugg (self titled debut album) Arctic Monkeys - Whatever people say I am, that's what I'm not Funny enough all debut albums. Difficult leaving out Oasis, Cash, Sinatra, Withers and some of the other albums released but the ones in my top 3.... But went for ones that mostly get played in my car
Difficult to narrow down to three as my moods seem to change with the seasons but at the moment 1) The Cult - Love 2) The Cure - The Head on the Door 3) The Mission - Gods own Medicine Guess how old I am
Brothers in Arms- Dire Straits Songs from the big Chair- Tears for Fears Dark side of the Moon-Pink Floyd
Do you all want to extend it to favourite 10 albums and add another 7 to your original 3 ? I know listing just 3 was a big ask and most of us should easily be able to do 10 although there are still others I'd want to include..... My 10 are 1) The Wall - Pink Floyd 2) Rainbow Rising - Rainbow (seeing them on Saturday 25th June in Birmingham) 3) Misplaced Childhood - Marillion 4) Sabbath Bloody Sabbath - Black Sabbath 5) Face The Music - ELO 6) Bastards - Motorhead 7) Welcome To My Nightmare - Alice Cooper 8) Sailing To Philadelphia - Mark Knopfler 9) Down To Earth - Rainbow 10) The Final Cut - Pink Floyd
I'm still finding it a hard task but here I go with my 10 but like you there are others.. 1) Alone in the Universe - Jeff Lynne's ELO 2) Brothers in Arms - Dire Straits 3) 3 Sides Live - Genesis 4) The Memorial Album - Eddie Cochran 5) The White Album - The Beatles 6) Sgt Pepper's Lonely Heart Club Band - The Beatles 7) Bridge Over Troubled Waters - Simon and Garfunkel 8) Their Greatest Hits - The Eagles 9) Long Road Out of Eden - The Eagles 10) Greatest Hits - Elton John and Buddy Holly Lives - Buddy Holly and the Crickets.........(Sorry I cheated and took a liberty)
