    So if they were sponsoring Chelsea or Man Utd they would still only do a basic press release?

    To be fair to the OP, there are a few previous Coats of Arms of Southampton which have the red section in the upper part of the shield.

    I don't think so. It was all done before the pitch was turfed up again, which happened last week. Plus, VM are paying us to promote them, not for them to promote Saints!

    A quick scan of Chevrolet's website shows no obvious references to Man Utd.

    Sometimes life is as simple as it looks. We like to spin out info....the shirt will released soon, so they announce the sponsor first.

    That deal is years old. I expect they might have mentioned it when the deal was announced.

    There's a few possibilities here;

    1) There's no sponsorship deal, Saints just made the whole thing up to make themselves look stupid.
    2) There is a sponsorhip deal, but the new sponsors think we're ****.
    3) You're a big girl's blouse looking for something to flap about.

    What's wrong with a big girl's blouse? They can be quite attractive I'll have you know....in a certain light.

    You pretty much need broadband now. I live in a village where my broadband (not from VM) is less than 1Mbit/s and it's sad trying to do anything

    Looks like what you need is satellite broadband. You are not confined to Sky, if you have an objection to the company and/or owner, as thankfully there are other providers out there. The upload speeds would be generally as pathetic as normal, but that's not the real problem usually. Download speeds are mainly what is important and these would be much faster until you have fibre optic coming to your area. As with all line-of-sight services, the elements and environment can make the reliability suffer. Trees, rain, etc.. can affect the signal. Undersoil cable is unaffected, of course.
