I`m in Southampton tomorrow with wife and daughter on my way to a cruise on the Oriana - my son is an engineer onboard. Can`t wait !
This was on the list of videos shown about FDB on the manager thread. It's 5 years old but I've never seen it before and if you like whales, well you're going to be touched by this:
Brilliant story. I have been whale watching and they really are magnificent creatures. Hope to go again some day.
http://usnews.nbcnews.com/_news/201...who-saved-dolphin-he-swam-right-up-to-me?lite This is one that I remembered....a dolphin swims up to a diver, asking for help and stays next to him until freed.
We went to The Azores and stayed on Pico. Lovely little island. We went purely for whale watching and were lucky enough to see Sperm whales. Fantastic sight. We also saw loads of different types of dolphins some of which swam along side our boat (dingy thing - RIB?). They were so close you could have touched them.
FLT you are officially invited to my Daughter's 4th July party in Atlanta. It's a Pink Flamingo pool party and you will go well I have my pink Apple Watch strap ready....
Trying to create a thread - I put a picture into it and on the preview screen all I get is View Attachment - any ideas?
Did you use "Upload File" from the box next to the red "Create Thread" button? I save the picture to my hard drive and then use that button to upload it to a post/thread.
You did.? please log in to view this image OK, what's the problem again.? If you trying to create a thread, including an image or images, it is the same procedure as if you were creating a post. With a decent OS like Windows 10 you can literally copy almost any type of image [there are exceptions] from you photo display on your computer and past it into the open space on your new thread. Put your text above and below it and post your new thread. You can edit it if you're not happy.
I did! I was trying to post an image from my desktop via insert + then tried to copy and paste an image I had saved in word, it always appeared fine in the thread creator page, but when I clicked preview it came up as View Attachment. I tried posting as thumbnail/full image nothing worked. So I copy and pasted from google instead. Any ideas?
Obviously the browser thinks it is seeing a Word attachment, not an image. Make the image compatible with the browser, so put it in a photo editor [Google Photos, PSP, etc] and save as a JPG or Jpeg. Then copy that image into your new thread. Basically, just make the image compatible.
Thankfully, these days it happens more often than it doesn't. You pepys would have been crying a couple of decades ago. Getting an image into a browser back then was wowee type stuff, simply because most weren't capable of taking them and the OS of the time wasn't overly capable of sending them. Even 10 years ago it was appreciably harder.
