There was a lot of talk at Monaco that the Ultras lasted longer than expected, although they can't be factoring that in as the decisions were made long before. Surprised in general that so few of the harder compounds have been picked, they can't plan on doing all their practice work on the ultras, and they've got to run at least one set of a harder compound in the race!
That is a bit harsh on Pirelli. The Canadian weather is so unpredictable, it can be anywhere between monsoon conditions, the track breaking up because of heat, or a general mild spring day. Canada has typically been a high wear circuit, so the use of the softer tyres was their only choice to force teams to make more than one stop, otherwise they'd all be on hards and bugger all would happen in the race.
Seb truly must be the greatest F1 driver ever, 2 second laps and metronomic that close to the wall lap after lap.
I actually think that Vettel was that superior to Webber, that "some say - he is that good he drives both cars at the same time" - we call him Ze German!
If anyone is intending to watch RTL with BBCR5Live commentary it looks like R5/Live are not broadcasting the Qualifying!!!!! They are broadcasting a 'coming up' program!!!! Oh well it will have to be a poor streaming service
