If I was Sadio I'd be off. There's been a few feeble attempts to get the "All we need is Sadio Mane, Sadio Mane..... Sadio Saints fans still love you" song going but it's been pathetic.

Football chant heaven right there and we've not delivered for him.we should be ashamed. I'll understand it if he turns it down and states this as the reason.

If Sadio stays it will reveal a lot about Ron's management. Pelle has already been replaced by Charlie Austin and Vic has had "oh when the Spuds" ..:emoticon-0120-doh:...in his heart for ages.

The bit I like in the Mirror article is the inclusion of a video of Koeman saying he will stay at Saints....like this to be publicised so that others can see him as the snake in the grass he is rather than think we are all embittered fans (well, we are, but that's another story :)). Also the bit at the end where the club feel players are less likely to try and jump ship with him...this is probably true because we are now a better club than when Poch left and Koeman didn't have Mauricio's charisma and hold over players.

We've got some very good players indeed at Southampton. but with the possible exception of Tadic, Sadio Mane is the real game changer. And in all honesty, he doesn't get the recognition from the Saints crowd that he deserves. The moment Tadic crosses the ball, it's Dusan Tadic, Dusan Tadic and that's great, but I hardly ever hear anything for Sadio. Maybe the Northam sing and I just don't know the song? All I know is that Sadio ends up running to every corner of the ground, bar the Northam, when he scores.

Still makes me smile when I see his fastest hat-trick and most of his celebration is in front of the Away supporters and he's encouraging them to be louder. They're standing there with their arms folded. I think he's on a one-man mission to get the other parts of the ground to make more noise. He's certainly trying. ;)

I would be very happy to keep Pelle...he has been a good striker for us...scores and brings others into play. It will be very hard for us to replace him...strikers are gold dust and not everyone realises how great we are yet. However, I accept that he wants to move on and his number of starts will decline in the future.

My feelings about keeping Pelle are purely based on logic and footballing knowledge, whereas your's sadly have an emotional base. Fonte's talents are evident to everyone....especially if he removes his shirt. :emoticon-0110-tongu

This reads more like a speculative blogger than an actual in the know news.

Says Morata will definitely be going back to Real because PSG/Chelsea will pay more than Juve.
If Juventus sell Zaza then they will likely look to sign a couple of strikers.
Benteke, Cavani and Pelle among potential replacements. It puts the caveat if Pelle performs well at the Euros then he will increase his appeal.

So we are to believe that Pelle who has reputedly been homesick for Italy all season is now in discussion with Stoke and Everton. If he didn't like living in Southampton then he'll positively loathe living in Stoke or Liverpool.

Stoke yes, Liverpool he may like. Anyway, I thought he longed for the Big City life rather than Italy specifically.

But he won't live in Stoke or Liverpool. Very well paid people do not live in the average area like we do. If he goes to Everton he will live in Wilmslow or some other "perfect" place.

If he went to Tottenham he wouldn't be living on the estates. If he went to Glasgow he wouldn't be living Cambuslang or Easterhouse. I don't get why people talk about "they won't like living in x." They will only spend their working time in that are and insulated away from the place itself. They will live in nice areas.

Every city has some terrible areas but equally has some "perfect" areas within very short commutes.

I know managers have a style and like certain players, but we have seen evidence over the years that players good for us don't necessarily transplant well. Will Everton and their millions want Pelle? He is likely to play less for us than before...how much more likely that is to be true in a team ready to throw money at the problem. Stoke is a no hoper...surely he would rather stay here,,,what can they offer him?

Koeman will be allowed to play long ball hoof at Everton because they are used to it from 10 years of Moyes. Pelle will fit in fine there.

I worked in Portsmouth once. I knew how to get to work and how to get home but never ventured anywhere else. I was surprised how many inoculations I needed before I went there.
