Morning Elland, 30K posts great job you are doing each morning, oh and keeping all the reprobate's in line. Taylor and Cook are LUFC future, if sold before Monk can evaluate the whole squad, then that itself speaks in volumes, personally I don't think the spaghetti muncher dare flog them, lets see!!
Morning all +congratulations on your 30,000 posts Elland. I for one won't really miss Bellusci, disrespectful to our fans on numerous occasions and not a good enough player IMO to make up for his negative side. Taylor and Cook going would be a huge blow but that's the modern game for you. Standing still is still going backwards if that makes any sense. Not sure about Mowatt, get the feeling he may end up in the 'too good for the Championship, but not good enough for the greed league category' What's annoying to me is I don't think we have ever got the best out of our young rising stars through lack of coaching, experienced pro's to help them along etc... No young player with any ambition can be expected to stay put if they see an opportunity to improve their game and earn more elsewhere. Let's face it....what could the likes of Cook and Taylor really learn from someone like the Hock or even Evans for that matter. Anyway, I think this season is sh*t or bust for Cellino....so let's hope he pulls his finger out and gets in some experienced players to help the younger ones along and we go for it.
Morning ristac, thank you for your kind words. I like Bellusci but he can be hit or miss, and the Elland Road faithful really don't like him (fickle lot). Bamba doesn't mind being a bit player. Playing 25 games a season, he will settle for that, and his experience will do us good. We have got rid of Wooton, Bellusci is on his way, if we can get a really good centre back to stop the leaks, that could save us 10 goals a season just on the mistakes....
Morning Johhny, and thanks matey Think you have hit the nail on its head. Great bunch of youngsters, full of potential..... Downside we don't have the key to unlock the potential...
Morning Ell. Congratulations on reaching 30k posts but you should dedicate your thanks to Leeds United. If they'd been any good over the past 10 years, with sane and honest owners, you'd have **** all to write about
Good afternoon London. You are right, without the pantomime that is Leeds United we would have nothing to write about but I am sure we would complain about that as well lol.
You dont mean paddy posted something without proof. That can't be right he wouldn't apply double standards would he?
30k posts eh? Well Bucks certainly saw you coming didn't he? If Bellusci leaves on a free transfer I will celebrate wildly. If we claim to get money for him I will wait for proof of the fact and then celebrate double wildly! Had a bad case of LUFC apathy after another season of lies, crap football, disrespect to people that work for our club, Byram inevitably being sold & proven quality like Hart and Pearson deciding that Luton Town or frankly anything is better than working for us but..... have decided to draw a line in the sand and approach one more summer with an open mind. As Eire points out, let's judge the quality of what we sell and what we buy not what might happen. Having said that, if the likes of Cook & Taylor go and we get only loans, freebies or garbage then I really ain't spending a penny or bothering until HE goes!
Totally agree WC...... As I see it at moment, Our consistent players will be Silvestri, Berardi and Taylor if he stays. The others will be fighting for a place, depending on who and how many new players are brought in. As previously mentioned, our whole regular midfield from last season are going to struggle, if they are played due to lack of new players then I suspect it's going to be same old same old. I read a media article that Monk would be doing well to build a team around Mowatt, just can't see that happening. Wood is going to struggle to keep his place as it seems on cards new strikers are going to be brought in, he's not prolific or consistent enough. I personally don't buy "he needs a partner up front to play with him" he had one in Antenucci and it didn't boost Wood at all. I'm presuming Monk will give everyone equal chance to prove themselves, and wouldn't be surprised to see Botaka and Sloth surprise a lot of people next season. Having said that, a new coach means everyone will be out to impress Monk, and as WC said, some players can improve in leaps and bounds under a new coach, but has to be the right coach of course. We're pushing for promotion, Monk has problems when it comes to deciding about bringing youth through, does he or doesn't he, should he or shouldn't he, it does put him in an awkward position. Pushing for promotion means it's time to decide if the players you like are good enough or not, what's more important?
Which teams are Botaka and Sloth going to be playing for when they do this? Both will be sold or loaned out.
