    I'll go on record now...

6th would be a good position to find ourselves in next year. 5th would be very very good..

The only question in my mind as of now is which if cheslea or spurs will be 4th.

I feel as though the title is between city and utd already and arsenal will be arsenal.

LFC are treading water and will not be in the CL mix... we will be like spurs of the past 3/4 years close but not really threatening.

Might as well not bother watching then.
It'll be difficult for sure, but we have to be a bit more positive than this. Being a football fan isn't about what you expect to happen but what you want to happen.

Can't agree, you don't need a team of expensive worldbeaters to win the league(or finish top 4)as Leicester proved last season,
Klopp tinkered a little bit too much last season(ok he had to view the strengths/weaknesses of his his entire squad), but we played some good football and beat some good teams soundly last season with a not to brilliant squad.
Klopp will(like all clubs)strengthen this summer and push on, if not we might as well have kept Rodgers.

Without Europe we've got to be looking at top four

Two of the top teams are going to miss out again. It's time Arsenal misses out <laugh>

    It doesn't hurt though...

    seriously... can you deny:

That a utd team with a proper manager who doesn't pick Fellini and 3 good signing won't be in the mix?
That pep with a front 3 of aguero aubameyang and de bruyne would be pretty hot?
That arsenal are retaining wenger and he's wlays likely to be in top 4 with the squad they have?
That spurs have a very solid unit in the back 6 (Gk, back 4, DCM) have eriksen allia and kane and are prob only a couple good signings away form a real good outfit?
that despite the issues and unknowns cheslea still have quite a side.. (could be 5th)

LFC as we speak have a lot of work to do so I have put us 6th.. thats above everton with koeman, above bilic and west ham and Leicester and ranieri... thats actually not being pessimistic.

Klopp has some decent players but quite a lot of work to do. on a day we can win games against this lot above but over 38 we are far too inconsistent. We have a new GK, is he better than mingolet? we don't know. e have a new CB, jimmy calls him error prone.. he's a unit though. we've 4 strikers which is good, but only 3 second line players so thats not enough and the CM area is a shambles. We can strengthen but that could be treading water here. We can have 25 players but if the others have beter players they have better players!

BTW 6th or 5th is improving on 7th and 8th... we'd all like to jump the queue but its not going to magically happen. it will require huge work.

Its a bit of an advantage yes.

but we must take advantage in the first half of season... why? spurs will do well to get out of group. Utd will play kids in europa and not even notice they are in it.

    chelsea have no europe either..

Its making the bes tof it but we will have to push for it.

it might be cheslea for one as conte has a bit to do.

for arsneal not to be in it wel... it will require a spectacular mess from the current set up. They are probably one striker and maybe a CB now form being up there.

Bellarin, ozil, sanchez, carzorla, zhaka, koseilny, cech.. all much much better players than ours.

Better wake up to the reality.

Utd have a decent side, they are only a couple signings away from being there. frnakly van gaal totally stuffed them up with negativity.

thier defense is actually quite decent, they could do with a CM and they have lots of options in attack even if mourinho changes it up.

anything could happen... theres too many clubs with expectations and too few berths for them to end up in. there iwll be fall out.... but given utd and city are new managers as is koeman... well... i doubt it will be them.

wenger is under pressure but he's bought a good un so far already.

If Jose Mourinho can motivate them, no doubt he is going to try.

We can't "jump the queue" to 4th with Klopp now bedded and playing once a week but Mourinho's going to insta-jump Man Utd to the title <laugh>
