Gooooood Morning Everyone, Cannot believe this is my 30,000th post I had a long hard think about what kind of thread I would post to celebrate such a mammoth landmark. I must admit many of those ideas revolved around dangling a hook in Glory's direction (he loves it). Then I thought, I have the rest of my life to keep certain posters on their toes (you know who you are) and decided I should dedicate this post to ................................................................... YOU! Without your support and input this board would not survive, and it is true testament that the success of the Leeds Not606 board board be down to you guys, with a special mention to Bucks who gave me the opportunity to become one of the mods. I am proud to consider all of you to be my friends, and hope we can continue to go from strength to strenth. Anyway, back to business.... please log in to view this image Gianluca Di Marzio 08-06-2016 00:30 L'Empoli ha individuato il sostituto di Tonelli, passato al Napoli. Roughly translated, it looks like Bellusci is on his way! Many have said he was a distrurbing influence on the Leeds team. I believe he cost just 1.6m, and his contract runs until 2018, so hopefully we will recoup most of that money back. Is it wise to get rid of players before replacements can be found? Leeds have denied that there have been any approaches for left back Charlie Taylor. Our player of the season has been linked with moves to Stoke and Liverpool.
Morning Elland, let's hope Bellusci is on his way he's been nothing but trouble since he's been here. Replacing him with someone of quality may be a problem on Cellinos budget. I think this summer is Cellinos last chance with the fans, piss poor recruitment and yet more mid table obscurity and the hatred for him will increase no doubt. Leedslover excepted of course .
Morning Elland. Congrats on hitting 30k posts. Which pub are you taking us all to, & does your bank manager know you've got a big bar bill coming his way? On Bellusci, not fussed if he goes. Hopefully we'll recoup some back. On Taylor, losing him would be a problem. As a kid who will only get better, we would have to demand at least £10m for him. But hopefully Monk will persuade Cellino not to sell.
Matt I want to thank you for providing the canvas that we all paint our pictures on. Without your daily input our board would be as unused as OLOFs wallet. P.S - "I don't love it". Every insult, every prod is a dagger to my heart. Genuine question aimed at Eire and Boggers particularly. If we sell Cook, Taylor and Mowatt would that change your opinion on Cellinos motives? The rest of you, what %age of the fees received reinvested in players would be acceptable to you?
Morning Boggers, (and thank you) yes, losing Taylor would be a disaster, his replacement value would probably be 5m
Morning Glory, you're more than welcome. I'm sure you do really!! People are saying that Mowatt has never been anything but average and two seasons ago when he scored those goals only distorted his stats
Morning Matt and co and congratulations on the landmark. Cant improve on the other compliments paid to you as I wipe the tears from my eyes. "Genuine question aimed at Eire and Boggers particularly. If we sell Cook, Taylor and Mowatt would that change your opinion on Cellinos motives? The rest of you, what %age of the fees received reinvested in players would be acceptable to you?" Those three leaving wont change my opinions. I would be dissappointed if they only left for other Championship clubs but if they go go the pl, best of luck, nothing we can do. In the modern game, no club can keep a player from moving to the PL IF hes good enough. The quality of the replacements will be then what interest me, rather than what they cost
Good morning all.. Matt congratulations on the 30k posts, thanks from me for your daily breakfast debate threads, they have become part of my daily routine In the case of Bellusci I would be happy to see him leave for a fee, I would prefer it to be Bamba as I feel Bellusci is the better of the two but a promotion pushing Leeds team is just a pipe dream with Bamba and Bellusci, between them far too many mistakes. Unfair for me to point a finger I know but.... I have a feeling that Bellusci is a Cellino favourite and I can imagine him going over the coaches head when he doesn't get his own way. If we can bring in a decent partner for Cooper and keep the experienced Bamba as cover that will do for starters although with Wootton gone we do need at least another two CB's if Bellusci departs (I know Wootton was used at RB) Under no circumstances should we sell Cook or Taylor, not if we are serious about a promotion push. If we sell either it is totally unacceptable in my eyes. Lets hope Cellino puts as much effort into persuading them we are promotion contenders as he has done the fans. Cellino needs to go out and make a "WOW" signing that shows we mean business, give the likes of Taylor and Cook belief that we are going to go for it. Mowatt I would love to see him sold, very overrated in my opinion.
Morning Eire. In a word, yes it would. I would also worry about his long term plan for the club. I'd also expect Monk would leave on the spot. No amount of reinvestment would make up for us going back a few years to when we had to sell our kids, such a Aaron Lennon, because we were in such a mess that we couldn't afford to keep them
If its down to Garry Monk I assume he will want to assess the players before any sales. Some players can improve out of all recognition under a different coach.
Did someone mention PUB........... Morning all. Fair play Elland on your 30,000 post, you've done it because you speak a lot of bollocks.. on that note I'm surprised Glory isn't closing in on his 60,000th one..........
Really hope he does, surprisingly didn't have that much game time last season. Worried about Murphy's form as well...
My only grumble(a part from last orders) is that these players are still young and still learning their trade. I don't see the point of joining another club when they are going to be used as a back up to the more season player. Ok I realise it's all about the money. I could understand if they were like Vardy 29, this is his last chance to make a lot more money and at his age you can see why he'd be tempted by the Arsenal offer. If Leeds Utd still aren't going in the right direction after a couple of seasons then fair enough, but as a supporter it does annoy me of the lack of loyalty and impatience shown by and let's be honest, kids who have only been in the first team for a wet day. Anyway that's just my opinion.
Morning Eire You see players like Ince and Hughes are happy (currently) playing in the Championship with Derby, for however longer, who knows? Actually Derby must be struggling financially having players like Chris Martin, Bent, Hentrick and Bradley Johnson can't be cheap. I wonder whether they are still within their budget?
Well done Matt Still unsure how to feel about recent developments. If our best players are sold I hope its because they don't fit the new managers way of playing, and 100% of transfer funds to be reinvested. I'm also hoping Cellino has brought people in to get rid of the cancer of GFH and we tie up a deal for ER. But here we go again Cellino fighting the FA again over another dodgy deal.
