I don't understand how it's lazy when it's been established since book 2 that people can be brought back to life. It's not as if he was killed and then the writers thought "**** that was a mistake, we should bring him back."
Yeah - you! You were the one trying to justify how it can happen. You could've just ignored my post about not liking someone coming back from the dead but you didn't, you felt you had to get involved.
You mean.. engaging in discussion about Game of Thrones in the Game of Thrones thread? You're the one getting worked up, not me. I enjoy the show for what it is, and attempted to explain to you why what has happened is not stupid. Others have done so as well. If you don't want people responding to your random outbursts, don't put them on a discussion board.
I didn't say I don't want people to reply. I simply pointed out the irony of the person complaining about it being 'taken to seriously' was the one who started the whole discussion by replying to a personal opinion. None of this 'too serious' discussion would've happened without your post. And I'm not getting worked up in the slightest. Why do you claim I am when you can't see me? I'm not bashing the keyboard with clenched fists.
That doesn't make any sense. You don't have to 'take something seriously' to reply. I don't get angry and worked up by the show, but I still enjoy it and its lore. If you consider that taking it seriously in the same way then fine. Jon coming back worked within the lore of Game of Thrones. If you want to get upset about that then go ahead.
Haha, amazing!! If you said this at the start we wouldn't have had multiple posts questioning my stance and trying to justify the plot. ****ing flip flop.
Again, sorry for engaging in discussion about the show. In future I'll remember that you just want a place to rant and rave and not have anyone explain things to you.
Rant and rave? Hmmm. And as I said - clearly - I've no issue with discussion. The issue is when people who start the discussion and try to justify issues is the one who then claims things are being taken too seriously. None of this would've been said here without you.
I skipped past most of it as ur talknig about a book that may contain spoilers to the TVs series , I got into GOT coz fave characters were always in danger , like when two of them seem to be on a collision course , the only Stark I like is the lass , the rest of them are just wet . Arya could survive this as a no face or whatever they are called...( I got sloppy with this story line after she hid needle .... She got as boring as the dragon bitch ), did she kill herself ..?
If someone isn't keen on magic as a plot device then GoT probably isn't the TV series or books for them to be honest.....It's a bit like saying you don't like the fact that Master Chef is full of cooking.
It has to be recent deaths so this won't happen unless you want the show to look like the Walking Dead
The Arya storyline is way beyond the books, I doubt they will kill her off though it was a bit disconcerting the last episode with her walking around half stabbed to death. I'm not reading the final books if they are ever published, the TV version is doing a much better job of condensing the storyline, I like the Iron Born sailing to Meeren to meet Dany development too. Martin lost the plot in his last few books with all the waffly nonsense about Danys antics and nothing much happening regarding that
If you've read em all so far you've got to finish them man surely? I like the Young Griff / Aegon Targaryen stuff in the books at the minute.
I was so disappointed with the way the final book started drifting all over the place that I would have to seriously consider it Walter, you are right though a bit of a shame not to carry on I suppose.
