I am suprised that there has not been a thread about Ashley appearing in front of a parliament commitee today. I would have thought such a signifigant event for a football club owner would have at least resulted in a thread critisising the fat c**t - still If he gives you Rafa who gives a f**k about human/workers rights <doh>

So if we slag him off we get told he saved our club and we are nothing but bed-sheet waving simpletons and if we don't slag him off we approve of all his working practices?

I am not my brothers keeper. Move on.

No but at least one of you should be commenting and outraged about his "workhouse regime" or perhaps I am from an older generation who fought for workers rights and that is gone now

I don't see how me commenting on it on a football forum has any bearing on things? I don't mind you kinky but you come across as wumming when you end your initial comment with:

"still If he gives you Rafa who gives a f**k about human/workers rights <doh>"

Don't be surprised when people don't then take your self-righteousness seriously.

Shameful, the way Parliament treat Michael today.
Who do they think they are?

    :)

It will all be better in a few days when we have football back.

Ashley is massively unpopular here and with pretty much every fan for various reasons. We mostly stopped complaining about him years ago when it became clear he wasn't going away. We have since had to endure relentless sets of fans suggesting we were lucky to have him with varying levels of seriousness.

There was nothing new or surprising today about Ashley so nothing to add from us really. He is merely a manifestation of a crappy system.

Came across as not knowing what was going on at his own business. Bit like us really. Just lets crap run his businesses into the ground.

Trawl through the threads over the last couple of years and I'm sure Mike Ashley and the working practices at Sports Direct have been debated ad infinitum. Most, if not all, of the Newcastle fans would have slated him for what's gone on and still would now.

You could have saved yourself a lot of words if you had just said

"The most important thing in my life is football"

I could have done. I could also have said the Earth was the biggest planet in the solar system and it would have been equally as true. I'm not sure I'm as comfortable lying about things as perhaps you are.

Exactly. Completely scapegoated. Why don't they focus on the real evils out there and get the likes of Google up there for their avoidance of tax etc etc. They won't because they are sucking the right cocks and lining the right pockets. Poor Michael has received shoddy treatment. Yet he takes it all on the chin and promises change. I am 100% behind our great owner, a fine upstanding citizen.
